أَخي لَن تَنالَ العِلمَ إِلّا بِسِتَّةٍ * سَأُنبيكَ عَن تَفصيلِها بِبَيانِ My brother, you will not gain knowledge except through six things. I will clearly explain them to you: ذَكاءٌ وَحِرصٌ وَاِجتِهادٌ وَبُلغَةٌ * وَصُحبَةُ أُستاذٍ وَطولُ زَمانِ Intelligence, eagerness, hard work, sufficient provision, the company of a teacher, and a long time.

Allah created humans and jinn to worship Him, and this worship cannot be properly carried out without learning Islamic knowledge. 2⃣. The first revelation emphasised knowledge; they highlighted reading, writing, and learning as essential means of gaining knowledge and understanding the religion. 3⃣. The Prophet ﷺ was instructed to ask for an increase in knowledge “My Lord, increase me in knowledge”, showing its importance. 4⃣. It is a sign of goodness from Allah. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever Allah wants good for, He gives him understanding of the religion.” Homework: Learn the above four points and memorise the hadith: ((من يرد الله به خيرا يفقه في الدين)) “Whoever Allah wants good for, He gives him understanding of the religion.”
