Why doesn't Allah respond to our du'as? | Answered by Sheikh Yahya ḥafidhahullāh
Upon the request of Ustadh Abu Muqbil Al-Banghali, we managed to record yesterday's session after forgetting to do so on the first attempt.
Perhaps someone with video editing skills can summarise it further into an easy-to-follow video (without tasweer, of course).
Maybe someone else can create a PDF.

Actions Speak Louder Than Words
Sheikh Sulayman Ar-Ruhayli hafidhahullah said:By Allah’s guidance, I saw a Muslim village that had no water. The people had to walk five kilometers to the river just to bring drinking water, and they also had no masjid. I asked, “How much would it cost to build a well and a masjid?” They said, “Fourteen thousand Saudi riyals” at that time. When I returned, we collected the money from people and sent it to them. I also told them, “When you dig the well, let the neighbouring non-Muslim village drink from it too.” And that is exactly what happened. The masjid was built, and the well was dug. Then the chief of the village went to the chief of the neighbouring non-Muslim village and said, “We have dug a well, so you can come and take water from us.” They replied, “How is that?” He said, “Our brother from Madinah, who is united with us through Islam, built this well for us and told us to share it with you.” By Allah, my brothers, more than 300 people from that village accepted Islam because of kindness alone. The Difference Between Qaylūlah, Haylūlah, and ‘Aylūlah
Question:Someone is asking about qaylūlah and haylūlah: Is the hadith about the qaylūlah authentic? And what is the difference between qaylūlah and haylūlah?
Sheikh 'Adnan Al-Masqari answered:As for the qaylūlah, it is resting before Dhuhr, and it is recommended that it includes some sleep. If a person is unable to sleep before Dhuhr, then sleeping after Dhuhr is still considered qaylūlah. As for the hadith: ((قيلوا فان الشياطين لا تقيل)) “Take the midday nap, for indeed the devils do not take a midday nap,” this hadith is weak. However, there are authentic narrations that are sufficient instead. In Sahih Al-Bukhari, there is a chapter titled: القائلة بعد الجمعة “The midday nap after Jumu‘ah.” Under it, Imam Al-Bukhari narrated the hadith of Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: ((كُنَّا نُبَكِّرُ إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ ثُمَّ نَقِيلُ)) “We used to go early to Jumu‘ah, then we would take the midday nap.” And the hadith of Sahl ibn Sa‘d (may Allah be pleased with him): ((كُنَّا نُصَلِّي مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْجُمُعَةَ ثُمَّ تَكُونُ الْقَائِلَةُ)). “We used to pray Jumu‘ah with the Prophet ﷺ, then afterward we would take the midday nap.” The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) would not usually take the midday nap on Friday except after Jumu‘ah. Since they spent the earlier part of Friday going early to the Jumu‘ah prayer, they would take the nap afterward instead. There is also the hadith of Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) mentioning: ((وأدركتنا القائلة في وادي كثير العضاه...)) “The midday rest overtook us in a valley full of thorny trees…” So the qaylūlah was something known among the Arabs, and the Prophet ﷺ approved of it because it brings rest during the time of intense heat. As for the haylūlah, it refers to sleeping after Fajr. It prevents a person from his provision, because that time is a time of remembrance of Allah and glorification of Him, and it is a time when provisions are distributed, as mentioned by Ibn Al-Qayyim. As for the ‘aylūlah, it means sleeping after ‘Asr. It was given this name because it causes weakness in the body, tightness in the chest, and tiredness. It may even affect the mind, unless a person genuinely needs sleep due to illness or travel. In that case, there is no harm in sleeping after ‘Asr. But making it a regular habit is harmful. And Allah knows best. Source: https://t.me/AbulYamman/21827

Advice for Those Going Out Da'wah
Sheikh Rashad Adh-Dhali'ee
Repost from 🕯️Wise Words🕯️
🕯#Wise_Words🕯
It is rare for a person to remain the same as when you first knew them. Hearts change, feelings grow cold, and the affection that once felt sincere slowly fades.
It is as if companionship in these times has become like a currency whose value keeps changing; it shifts with personal interest, weakens at the first mistake, and disappears at the first disagreement.
Where are the hearts that used to forgive mistakes, be patient with shortcomings, and stay loyal no matter how life changed?
It is painful to realise, after many years, that many people you thought were truly close to you were only passing through your life.https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VbCSKCQCXC3Nv5OYUQ2q

Finding Comfort Through Remembering the Prophet ﷺ
Narrated by 'Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her): the Prophet ﷺ said:
((يا أَيُّها الناسُ! أَيُّما أحدٍ من المؤمنينَ أُصِيبَ بمصيبةٍ، فلْيَتَعَزَّ بمصيبتِه بي عن المصيبةِ التي تُصِيبُه بغيري، فإنَّ أحدًا من أُمَّتي لن يُصابَ بمصيبةٍ بعدي أَشَدَّ عليه من مصيبتي))
“O people, whenever any believer is struck by a hardship or loss, let him find comfort by remembering his loss of me, compared to any other hardship that may happen to him. For no one in my nation will ever suffer a loss after me that is harder upon them than losing me.” [Sahih Al-Jami‘]
This may only be fully understood by someone who understands the meaning of another saying of the Prophet ﷺ, narrated by Anas ibn Malik:
((لا يؤمنُ أحدُكم حتى أكونَ أحبَّ إليه من ولدِه ووالدِه والنَّاسِ أجمعينَ))
“None of you truly believes until I am more beloved to him than his child, his parent, and all people.” [Sahih Muslim]
After all, the deepest grief is usually felt over losing a child, a parent, or another dearly loved person.
But the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is meant to be more beloved to the believer than any of them.
So it is as if the meaning becomes:
None of you truly believes until my death is a greater tragedy to him than the death of his child, his parent, or anyone else.
So where is this feeling, and where is this awareness, when we lose those we love?
