Meanwhile, SanDisk shares fell by more than 10%. • Dow Jones hits a new record: The index gained more than 500 points, reaching a new all-time high. 🟠 Macro, the Fed & Geopolitics • U.S. manufacturing accelerates: The ISM Manufacturing Index rose to 55.6 in July, its highest level since May 2022. The sector has now expanded for seven consecutive months. • Oil companies post massive profits: The five largest Western oil companies generated nearly $44B in profit during Q2 2026, supported by geopolitical tensions. ExxonMobil reported $14.7B, Chevron posted a record $12.1B, and Shell earned $9.8B. • China returns to gold: Chinese gold ETFs attracted $1.2B in inflows over the past 14 days. • Geopolitics & the Strait of Hormuz: Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that a joint agreement with Oman on shipping routes through the Strait of Hormuz is in its final stage.
