Shaykh Yahya Al-Hajūri حفظه الله writes:“Whoever truly upholds the correct Aqeedah will be safe in this world from fitnah and in the Hereafter from punishment. The means by which countries attain security, faith remains firm, and a person attains happiness is having the correct Aqeedah. And vice versa: the opposite leads to the opposite result. Allah تعالى says: “It is those who believe and do mix not their belief with dhulm (wrong i.e. by worshipping others besides Allāh), those will have security, and they are [rightly] guided.” [Al-Anʿām 6:82] And Allah تعالى says: “Whoever follows My guidance will neither go astray nor suffer.” [Surah Tā Hā (20:123)] Meaning: he will not go astray in this world, nor will he suffer misery in the Hereafter.” [The Aqeedah of Sufyān ath-Thawrī (pp. 28)] ——— Translated by: Rasheed al-Canadi Source (Arabic): https://sh-yahia.net/show_books_67.html Official English Channel: https://t.me/ShaykhYahyaEn Official Arabic Channel: https://t.me/sh_yahia_duroos/

The Virtues of Seeking Knowledge
Imām Ibn al-Qayyim (رحمه الله) said:“Whoever seeks knowledge in order to revive Islam then he is from the Siddiqīn (those who’re most sincere in faith) and his rank is after the rank of prophethood.” [Miftāh Dār As-Saʿādah (1/338)] ——— Translated by: Rasheed al-Canadi

The Definition of ʿIbādah (Worship)
Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله:ʿIbādah: Is a comprehensive term encompassing everything that Allāh loves and is pleased with, of statements and actions, inward and outward. [Al-ʿUbudiyyah, p. 19] ——— Translated by: Rasheed al-Canadi
Is Celebrating Mawlid similar to Muhammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb Week?
With the arrival of Rabīʿ al-Awwal, the people of desires have once again begun circulating doubts concerning the celebration of Mawlid. Unable to substantiate their own claims or defend their innovative practices, they shift the discussion away from the weaknesses in their own arguments and toward alleged inconsistencies among those who oppose them.
As for Ahlus-Sunnah, such tactics do not sway them because their views are not built upon speculation or rhetoric, but upon the clear evidences from the Qur’ān and Sunnah, understood in accordance with the way of the Salaf.
One of the doubts currently being circulated is the comparison between the celebration of the Mawlid and what is referred to as “Muhammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb Week.” This raises an important question: What exactly was Muhammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb Week?
Muhammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb Week was an academic conference held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from 8–14 March 1980 (corresponding to 21–27 Rabīʿ al-Thānī 1400 Hijri). The conference was organized by the Islamic University of Imam Muhammad ibn Saʿūd, and among its attendees and participants was the eminent scholar and former Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, al-ʿAllāmah Shaykh ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Bāz رحمه الله. The conference had several objectives, including the compilation and publication of the works of Shaykh Muhammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb, the highlighting of his daʿwah and efforts, and the clarification of misconceptions concerning his methodology and teachings.[1]
What are the main differences between celebrating Mawlid and Muhammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb Week?
To answer this, let us look at the following question that was posed to Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Sālih al-ʿUthaymeen رحمه الله:
Questioner:"O Shaykh, May Allah reward you with good. These innovators say, ‘You commemorate certain occasions for individuals. For example, what took place regarding the week of Imām Muhammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb, May Allah have mercy on him’. They say ‘we do something similar to this, while the Messenger ﷺ is greater, meaning greater than the Imām (Muhammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb)’.”
Shaykh Ibn al-ʿUthaymeen رحمه الله:Without a doubt the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is greater than every human being. However, commemorating the Messenger is not something specific to this particular night. I mentioned to you earlier that every act obedience contains commemoration of the Messenger ﷺ, this is from one angle. From another angle, is the week of Imām Muhammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb a reoccurring event? Is it taken as an ʿEid that reoccurs? We say no, it is not taken as an ʿEid but rather, it is you who take it (Mawlid) as an ʿEid that reoccurs. An ʿEid is something that returns and is reoccurring. You have taken this (i.e. Mawlid) as a ‘Eid which reoccurs annually and this is an evil thing. If someone was to speak about the Messenger ﷺ on a random day, talking about his life and his dispatchment we wouldn’t say he’s an innovator, but if we were to make this a annual ʿEid similar to the legislated ʿEid’s of al-Fitr and al-Adhā, this is what’s considered evil.”[2] He also mentioned: “The week of Imām Muhammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb was not regarded as an act of worship in and of itself but rather it was intended to remove the doubts that had arisen in the minds of some people regarding this man.”[3] There are many other points of contention concerning the celebration of Mawlid; however, Shaykh Ibn al-ʿUthaymeen’s response is sufficient to dispel this particular doubt. And Allāh knows best. —— [1] Buhūth Usbūʿ al-Shaykh Muhammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb vol. 1 (Riyadh: Research Center, Imam Muhammad ibn Saʿūd Islamic University, 1403 AH/1983 CE), pp. 21–22. The security (الأمن) referred to in the verse:
﴿فَأَيُّ الْفَرِيقَيْنِ أَحَقُّ بِالْأَمْنِ إِنْ كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُون﴾
So which of the two parties has more right to security, if you should know?" [Al-Anʿām (81)]
is further clarified in the verse that follows, which specifies what this safety entails and who is granted it:
﴿الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَلَمْ يَلْبِسُوا إِيمَانَهُم بِظُلْمٍ أُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمُ الْأَمْنُ وَهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ﴾
It is those who believe and do mix not their belief with dhulm (wrong i.e. by worshipping others besides Allāh), those will have security, and they are [rightly] guided. [Al-Anʿām (82)]
Imām al-Saʿdī رحمه الله explains:“They shall have security from fear, punishment, and misery, and they shall have guidance to the straight path. If they haven’t mixed their faith with any form of dhulm, neither shirk nor disobedience, then they will attain complete security and complete guidance. However, if they haven’t mixed their faith with shirk, but they commit other sins, then they will attain the basis of guidance and the basis of security, but they will not attain it in its completeness.” [Tafsīr as-Saʿdi {6:82}] ——— Translated by: Rasheed al-Canadi
