So basically,  isayama wrote AOT based on the two theories, thr bottle neck effect, which happens when the population of a place is severely reduced due to "catastrophes" ( in AOT case it is war) and the founder effect is when a small group of individuals break off to estabilish a colony....and the new population gene pool is different from the original one (*ymir's generation or the eldians*) and both effects are called genetic drifts...both are still theoretical ideas daymun isayama you cooked here 🔥
