I haven't come to terms with it, yet, our beloved Mohammad. Abu Loay. You stole our hearts three years ago. We watched you lose your home, your loved ones, and your colleagues. We watched you save hundreds if not thousands of lives. You ran towards the danger, the bombing and the rubble to rescue your fellow Palestinians. To let them know they are not alone. To reassure the men, women, and children who were trapped that although the entire world had abandoned them, there was someone there, who was going to do everything in his power to save them. You held up the pieces of human flesh, the murdered babies and even the lifeless foetuses you recovered to the camera to show the world what you and your people were suffering and enduring. You told us that the path you took leads to martyrdom. You had accepted it. But we hadn't. We were not prepared to lose you.

To lose a 22 year old who at the age of 19 decided that he would dedicate every moment of his life to saving souls that were bombed, burned, shredded, trapped and crushed by the jewish occupation. Today was the last day you ran to save lives before the occupation took yours. Your last footsteps on earth were towards the bombing outside of a hospital. What a hero you were and forever will be.
