On a bleak Sunday morning fewer & fewer folk are getting ready to go to church, a general observation not confined to any single denomination however the Presbyterian church has been hard hit recently over child abuse concerns. However the case of David Latimer is worth looking at as is his friendship with the murderous Martin McGuiness, for whilst Marty was directing wholesale slaughter of David’s fellow Presbyterians he & Marty were sitting down to tea and scones! But we concur, McGuiness was indeed very special, his death tally marked him out and his legacy continues to this day. Meanwhile Mr Lundy, taking a break from the legalities surrounding his stewardship of the New IRA is being called to account in relation to his “unusual interest” in children. Again nothing new as both modern and historical Irish republicanism have had said interests, the very top of the provo war machine had uncle Joe Cahill with serious sexual deviants taking time away from the struggle to bugger and sexually abuse youngsters.
