mathematics frequently explores concepts that are merely theoretical possibilities and dont exist in the real world

what you’ve said effectively throws the whole field of mathematics into doubt

‎ Honey your argument is only plausible on the surface If we r not supposed to b able to imagine something, then why do we even talk about its theoretical existence? Theory is formed in the human mind the mind is the very ground of theory so if the mind cant hold it for whom does that theory even exist? "u r not supposed" to is more of a rationalization than a reason

you’re not supposed to be able to imagine everything that exists in theory

‎ a definition itself is a form of existence it takes place in the human mind, and its a human act The fact that a perfect circle cannot be imagined is not a flaw in the circle its a limitation of our imagination And this limitation does not prove that the perfect circle doesnt exist Existence is not limited to what can b imagined And u know what? If the perfect circle didnt exist, you wouldnt even be able to recognize the imperfection of a circle drawn on paper Imperfection is the very condition that allows us to recognize perfection So what conclusion do we draw? Perfection does not exist as a fixed form but it exists in imperfection , not as a thing, but as a measure

perfection is a mathematical concept btw

a perfect circle is an abstraction which lives in the heaven of platonic ideals

Which one would Euclid approve of?? بنظرم بزرگه که دور ههمشونه رو ده بدین ما بریم خونمون

and by perfection i meant a circle which every point on its circumference must be a theoretical point with no dimensions

a perfect circle exists only in definition, and even in imagination, it is impossible

‎ If u are saying that a perfect circle only exists in an abstract mathematical space, then I have a question for u Where is that abstract mathematical space? It is in the human brain and the human brain is itself a physical reality Subjective reality is not less than objective reality it is just another kind of real And here is your second mistake u say a perfect circle doesnt exist U are defining perfection as a fixed state But perfection can also be defined as a process 💞

they’re not perfectly circular due to forces like gravity and rotation

circles we see or draw are always flawed versions of the ideal which we can only conceive of in our minds

it is a purely theoretical construct that exists within geometry, where there are no physical imperfections

a perfect circle exists only in abstract mathematical space

a perfect circles does not exist
