— pt. 3 — This week marks the 3rd anniversary of my art journey. As I did last year, I wanted to do a drawing representing the year I went through. I remember how I was feeling in the beginning of January. I was slowly but surely getting out of that dark place that had been holding me captive for the 2 first years of my art journey. Those feelings were often represented in my SFW art pieces. Idk if I’d call them vent art, but the ideas were often a bit more serious, and were meant with often times sadder or deeper songs in mind. But I was feeling hopeful as the year started. I had the feeling this year would be a good year, both for my art but also my relationship to others and to myself. I could have never imagined this year would become the amazing year it ended up being. I think this year marks a year where I’ve grown a lot, both as an artist but also as a human. I managed to meet so many truly amazing people, both online and irl, finally got to meet my first furry friends irl to an amazing trip to France, started crossing path with artists I look up to (like- literal fucking art GODS), I got to work on my self-confidence and developed a better relationship to myself and my art. Of course, I still struggle with performance anxiety and self pressure a lot at times, but I always managed to bounce back. Regardless of how many times it wanted me to give up, I didn’t give up. And I don’t plan on giving up anytime soon. Thankfully my friends always end up being there for me, and for them I am eternally grateful 🩵. I think the word that best describes how I’ve felt this year is hopeful. Hopeful about the future and the people I love. Hopeful that I’m able to contribute positively to the lives of the people I hold close to my heart. Hopeful that my art makes other people’s day even just a smidge better. Hopeful that I'll manage to continue to improve and make better art :3 And maybe halfway throughout the year, I got myself the vinyl for Coldplay’s latest album, Moon Music. This album represents exactly that: Hope and love. And as it was growing into my favourite album, as I was repetitively crying each couple of songs while listening to it (good tears mind you), the need to draw something for this album also grew with it. So… here I present to you:
