Dr. Kong Marry, Secretary of State of the MEF, Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Digital Economy and Business Committee (DEBC), and Chair of the Inter-Ministerial Working Group on Electronic Services for Business (ESB),led a working team on a field visit to the soap-making handicraft business "LSV Industry Co., Ltd," together with senior officials and technical staff from the Ministry of Health (MOH), in Kork Klaing commune, Sen Sok district, Phnom Penh. 👉🏻 This field visit aimed to study the practical challenges faced by entrepreneurs, as well as to gather opinions and requests from the owner of the above handicraft business, in order to provide supporting data for simplifying the licensing procedures for "soap-making handicraft" businesses, which will soon be put into a pilot phase.

Dr. Kong Mary, of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Secretary General of DEBC, and Chair of the Inter-Ministerial Working Group on E-Services for Business (ESB), led the working group in a meeting with three ministries and institutions : the Ministry of Commerce (MOC), the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (MLVT), and the General Department of Taxation (GDT). The meeting was attended by high-level officials and senior technical representatives ministries and institutions total approximately 40 participants via the Zoom. The meeting was held with the aim of promoting data exchange among the three ministries and institutions through the Cambodia Data Exchange (CamDX) platform, in order to reduce repeated requests for information and minimize the need for applicants to submit supporting documents by enabling the relevant ministries and institutions to automatically retrieve and verify data through digital systems.
