very honoured to be commissioned by xl for both mizuki and ena’s birthdays 🥹🥹 yes they do connect!! bear with me for some yap.. i wanted to show mizu5 ena reaching out and conflict about how she can help mizuki in her growth, and ena5 mizuki receiving the ribbon and being receptive to new growth…. the ribbon has always been a constant motif ever since the start of the arc in secret distance 🎀 i heavily considered making mzk’s connect to secret dist mzk as an old callback to the mizuki of the past that needed help the most and wished to reach out, but ultimately decided to pair the two events which really form a set and complete story and creates a piece that shows mizuki looking forward to a more hopeful future..! mizuki’s story is very important to me and i’m so glad she got this story arc concluded across these two events!!!! happy birthday mizuki 🥺🥺 i wish for you to be happy and loved!! ❤️‍🩹
