You apply once through the national committee, and can be placed anywhere from Wales to Singapore to Costa Rica. ↪️ Grades aren't the main criterion. UWC selects for values: courage, curiosity, service. A straight-A student with no story can lose to a B student who leads. ↪️ There's an age window. Students enter at around 16–18. Every year, strong candidates miss UWC forever simply because they decided to "apply next year." ↪️ The scholarship adjusts to your family. It's need-based: they look at what your family can pay and cover the rest. Up to 100%. ↪️ UWC pays twice. Graduates get access to the Davis Scholars program: scholarship funding at partner universities in the US, available only to UWC alumni.
