I want comfort not luxury for the sake of showing off, but the freedom to do what I love without fear. I want to travel when I want, rest when I need to, and sleep without that voice in my head telling me I'm wasting time or falling behind. I want success, not because I need status, but because I want stability. I want to reach a point where the struggles I'm facing now feel like distant memories. I want to look back at this version of myself and barely recognize the constant anxiety, the uncertainty, and the exhaustion. More than anything, I want a peaceful life a life filled with love, security, freedom, and enough abundance that I can finally breathe. #my_thoughts

There is no need for motivation if you are the older child in your family. When it comes to being an older daughter, that is another story. Failure is not an option here, since the sustainability of the family depends on you. #random @byte_philosopher

I don't think we should be paying 9$/m for load testing using machines we own. so i built loadcell (FOSS), run http requests, save them as a load testing profile, draw ramp up curves and run them concurrently with go. https://x.com/Robimez/status/2061939732049801224?s=20 github.com/robimez/loadcell @rb_wk & @robi_makes_stuff

Yomu an all-in-one reading companion designed for book lovers and audiobook enthusiasts. Whether you're diving into an EPUB, studying a PDF, or listening on the go, Yomu tracks your progress and gamifies your reading journey to help you reach your goals. so one day i decided to get back to reading books(as any normal person does), and started reading, then since its been awhile i read heavy stuff(normal book actually, just heavy for me 👀), the process got boring, so i tried audiobooks, and now my ADHD kicks in and started taking me places while listening, when i got back am up to 2,3 chapter and the main character had died or sth, so i started reading while listening to the audiobook at the same time, that really improved my experience. but now i face another problem, 1 am using two different apps, 2 i was using samsung music for my audiobooks so everytime i open another audio to listen to music i've lost the track of my timestamp, now everytime i get back to reading i have to find the exact place where i left of and continue from there, trust me do this once or twice a day, you're better of not reading at all. so why not build an app for it that got both feature i need reading while listening and rememebers where i left off and all. thats why Yomu is created 'Yomu' means 'to read' in japanase and 'anytime' in afan oromo, so two languages, one mission: "To read, anytime". since i used to use moonreader(the best reader ever), i tried to apply their best features here, including the little ones like, searching from web for hte book's cover so i present to you: YOMU Features Multi-Format Support: Seamlessly read EPUB and PDF files with a smooth, optimized interface. Audiobook Integration: Enjoy your favorite audiobooks with built-in playback controls. Progress Monitoring: Track exactly how many pages and minutes you've read. Goal Setting: Set weekly reading goals (by pages) to stay consistent. Ranks & Levels: Progress from Kohai to Tatsujin based on both your Level (XP) and Achievements. Activity Visualizations: Beautiful charts and insights into your reading habits. Download it from Playstore Star the repo on Github

I honestly think I'm pretty good at engaging on most social media platforms and making a good impression, but X is a different story For some reason, I've never really liked it, and I still don't know why. But I guess it's time to give it a real shot So for the next month, I'm going to try being consistent on X and actually take it seriously. I have no idea what kind of content I'll end up posting yet but we'll figure that out together If you're on X, let's follow each other https://x.com/azol92

A few things I learned while building ICare. It was my first time working with Electron 1. I was trying to make the break window stay on top of everything. I tried alwaysOnTop, but every time I clicked back into my code, the break window would go behind it. Then I tried Kiosk Mode... and it basically turned my screen into black At that point, I gave up. Lesson learned Linux window managers are stubborn lol. 2. Even Kiosk Mode can be bypassed pretty easily. Making something that truly blocks the user is way harder than I expected. 3. When I started building for the Snap Store, I got hit with error after error after error. Seriously, be prepared for endless build issues if you're packaging desktop apps for Linux 4. Electron is actually simple and easy to understand. If you've worked with JavaScript before, you'll pick it up pretty quickly. But if you're planning to build an app that needs deep interaction with the OS, I probably wouldn't choose Electron. Trying to control OS-level behavior using JavaScript is kinda impossible. Idk if any of this will help anyone, but this was the chaos I went through while building ICare 😂

@CodeAndCoffee1 made iCare (eye-care) it's a digital health app to remind you to give your eyes a break. It's pretty thoughtful and idk any other that does this. iCare • https://icare-showcase.vercel.app/ You set some screentime, and when the time is up it remind you to stop using your computer - you can take it to the extreme and it will disable your computer until the break is over. It's got analytics, streaks and much more. Plus it's open-source - pretty cool. #CommunityShowcase #iCare @Dagmawi_Babi

Introducing ICare I built ICare because I spend most of my day staring at a screen and kept forgetting to take breaks until my eyes started hurting. ICare reminds you to follow the 20-20-20 rule by nudging you every 20 minutes to look away from your screen for 20 seconds. If you're really stubborn, Smart Eye Mode can block your screen for 20 seconds and force the break To make things more fun, I added:       - Analytics to track your habits       - Streaks and badges to keep you motivated       - Different popup personalities       - A Savage Mode that might roast you for ignoring your eye health I wanted ICare to be simple, useful, and a little entertaining. I've been using it myself, and it's already helping me build healthier screen habits. I hope it helps you too.
