Uzbekistan’s startup ecosystem is entering a new stage ▪️ At the “Powering the Startup Ecosystem” event on July 1, IT Park announced a major expansion of the President Tech Award prize fund from $1 million to $5 million. The updated program now includes three tracks, including a dedicated incubation track where 25 early-stage teams will share $1 million in grants. This comes after the most recent cycle attracted more than 6,000 participants and 862 competing teams nearly twice as many as the previous season.

▪️ Another important milestone: the launch of the President AI Award, Uzbekistan’s first state competition fully dedicated to AI startups. The award will focus on solutions for public administration, industry, healthcare, education, green economy, and agrotech. As part of the program, 25 startups will join an acceleration track with a $1 million prize pool and top prizes of $100,000.

For founders, this is more than a competition. It is a signal that the country is ready to invest seriously in technology, innovation, and startup talent.
