If you're preparing for Ethiopian Airlines AMT, here's a tip that is easy to overlook:
Don't study an aircraft component by itself. Ask what system it belongs to, what its job is, and what happens if it fails.
Ethiopian Aviation University's AMT training covers areas from airframe, power plant and avionics to human factors, troubleshooting, EWIS and fuel-tank safety so understanding how systems connect is important.

✈️ The engine-driven pump (EDP) in a turbofan engine is primarily used to convert mechanical power from the engine accessory gearbox (AGB) into high-pressure hydraulic power for the aircraft’s hydraulic system.
✈️ How it works
1. The turbofan rotates.
2. Mechanical power is taken from the engine through the accessory gearbox.
3. The gearbox drives the EDP shaft.
