My family comes from Iwie (present day Belarus), a town that was 80% Jewish on the eve of World War II. Everyone got along relatively well with one another. The Jews, Tatars, and Poles mostly kept to themselves, self isolating in their own little communities.
After the German occupation in 1941, all of the Jews in Iwie were confined to a ghetto established around the town center. The following year in 1942, my family personally witnessed around fifty Jews being shot into a ditch not far from their home. My grandmother and great uncle, who are both still alive today, also remember seeing columns of mostly Jewish women and children being marched toward a nearby forest, and later hearing gunfire at intervals throughout the day. The ghetto was liquidated soon afterward, and by 1943 the town's Jews had effectively ceased to exist.

As a convert to Orthodoxy, this completely baffles me. Especially because the zoomers say "based and traditional", which the modern Catholic church is obviously not... My only guess is that they've been sold a fantasy version of catholicism based on crusader memes and exorcist movies.
