Michoacán: The Galil Ace Gen 2s of the Carteles Unidos Slides 1 and 2 show a 7.62x39 variant of the Galil Ace Gen 2 in the hands of a sicario from the Gente de la Venada (GDLV 🦌). This example is fitted with an ACOG style optic. At least three different Gen 2s have been spotted with different groups within the Carteles Unidos alliance in the last two months. Slide 3 is from a Gente del R5 (GDR5) sicario, who can be seen with another 7.62x39 Gen 2 with an American Tactical Schmeisser 60 round magazine. Slide 4, from CodigoZ, shows another GDLV sicario with a 5.56 Gen 2 variant. It would be interesting to know where these rifles were acquired from, considering that they aren’t used by any Mexican military or police force.

Sinaloa: Helmet belonging to a sicario from the Fuerzas Especiales Motor, formerly known as the Fuerzas Especiales Chuta until the recent death of Chuta in his hometown of Charay, Sinaloa. The helmet is high cut, with a cover, and patches of the Mexican National Guard and glow in the dark cat eyes. The ear protection is a pair of knockoff Earmor M32s. One visible trend with cartel sicarios is the increased use of tactical gear. The Cartel del Noreste (CDN) in Tamaulipas was one of the early adopters of full tactical gear for sicarios.

Recent photo of a sicario known as El Cuervo operating in Escuinapa, Sinaloa. The interesting part of El Cuervo operations in Sinaloa is that he used to be a commander of sicarios in Zacatecas and would regularly upload videos of himself and the sicarios under his command clashing with CJNG sicarios. This continued until El Cuervo was injured during clashes in Zacatecas in 2025, there was also another incident in 2024 where El Cuervo was injured in clashes. El Cuervo also has a corrido dedicated to him called El Cuervo De Milpillas by Diego Sierra.

The Fuerzas Especiales Vampiro of the Caballeros Templarios in Michoacán Shown here are sicarios of the Caballeros Templarios cartel, which is not as influential as they once were but still active. These sicarios are under the command of El Vampiro, going by Fuerzas Especiales Vampiro (FEV). Slide 1 shows several sicarios, one notably armed with a CZ 805 Bren. This is an uncommon weapon for cartels, but has been seen before with the Carteles Unidos in Michoacán (which happened to be Mexican SEDENA weapons - old post). The 805 can be seen again in slide 3. FEV sicarios can be seen in slide 2 with another uncommon weapon, a HK G36E. These were used by government forces in the 2000s, which the sale of 4500 G36 rifles was later deemed illegal with HK being fined in the millions. The rifles were linked to atrocities such as the disappearance of 43 students in Iguala, Guerrero in 2014. A number of these rifles also ended up in cartel hands unsurprisingly.
