screw your mood, follow the plan screw your mood, follow the plan screw your mood, follow the plan screw your mood, follow the plan screw your mood, follow the plan

your job before the exam is to stay as calm as possible and be in the moment don't think of the future, don't think about the past all you have is now, focus on your breath fuel your body right, avoid sugary drinks or fast food that will cause a crash intensive cramming now is more likely to cause confusion than help. move away from anxious, panicking classmates your only job is to walk into the exam room, calm and confident trust yourself

don't think of what if don't think of what happened in the past focus on the now, focus on your breathing

if you're taking major exams soon the great news is the study marathon is almost over it's normal to ease up. a rested brain is a sharp brain forget intensive last min cramming. it's better to go through the main points in your brain and how you'll tackle the exam literally visualise yourself taking the exam imagining it happening, imagine what you'll do when you open the paper and how you'll approach the questions imagine answering different types of questions and how you'll approach each one. when you imagine, be as detailed as possible do this for long enough and it'll shift your nervous mindset from "I hope I remember" to "I trust that I know"

all you can do now is to work as smart and as hard as you know how to don't give up because that's how the process works. that's the road to get results and even if you don't get results you wanted, you'll find a way to make life work. you'll always have another shot at life but you can't worry about that now. just focus on now, literally this moment and take the next step that's giving it your best

roses are red violets are blue stop reading telegram you've got work to do

you know what's scarier than failing? it's always regretting what could have been because you didn't try hard enough

the anxiety you feel before the exam isn't a sign you're going to fail it's a sign that you care about your future—and that's a good thing use that anxiety to get organised and get to work you'll find your peace in progress

you should be reasonable about most things in life but for those few things that you really, really want it's better for you to be unreasonable in chasing that thing because it always takes more work than you imagined to become good at anything

sometimes the biggest hurdle is not the exam but the anxiety leading up to it some stress helps you feel motivated and focused but excessive stress can feel crippling remember that perfect is not the goal. you've already poured in hours of hard work. the best thing you can do now is take deep breaths focus on learning from mistakes not sacrifice sleep don't skip meals or drink excessive caffeine stay active limit extreme last min cramming as it increases stress

I love it when I find my mistakes it's the only time I fix my thinking to be a little more right

getting good grades takes so much work that you just have to forget the insanely large goal and tell yourself each morning "today, i'm going to study three things, eat healthy and get a really good sleep"

if you feel tired, learn to rest not quit you need find out what happens if you don't give up I REPEAT, DO NOT GIVE UP I REPEAT, DO NOT GIVE UP I REPEAT, DO NOT GIVE UP

if you hate opening your notes and you cant absorb anything you're reading i just launched study mode on the wise otter which uses learning science to break down complex concepts into simple, manageable steps to build your understanding from the ground up it tracks every question you answer, and uses active recall and spaced repetition to help you revise just before you forget watch this 45s video to see how to see how it works: https://youtube.com/shorts/RhmExxoHLx0?feature=share read more and try it at: www.thewiseotter.com study mode is available for physics, chem, bio, math happy studying! 🫶

"A healthy man wants 10,000 things, a sick man only wants 1" when you're sick the only thing you want is to be well there's nothing worth sacrificing for health, ever even if exams are near, remember to get enough sleep, exercise and eat healthy. it's more important now than ever

exam period tips: believe the grades you're aiming for is possible for you cut off excuses and negative stories in your mind before they take over you studying hard with friends increases your odds of success stay positive, joke around, sing songs especially during this exam period. it doesn't have to be so serious always focus on making success as small as possible by thinking only on your next immediate step know that millions of people have been through whatever you're feeling right now, and they've made it through and you too, will make it through

what if you could: • increase your IQ by 10+ points • have higher willpower to focus • be in a much better mode during the day the secret? get 8 hours of sleep sleep-deprived students lose 10 - 15 IQ points and need 4x longer to learn the same material. your brain literally can't function at full capacity without proper rest the worst part is students are sleep deprived because of STUDYING (and scrolling haha), and they still end up scoring worse than students who got 8 hours if you feel tired during exam season, MAKE SLEEP A PRIORITY if you're interested: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41539-025-00361-y

not studying is hard, because you feel like you're failing and falling behind studying is hard, because you feel confused and discouraged from getting questions wrong even after you've studied, it's still hard because you place expectations on yourself and you're scared that you won't meet them you choose your hard but some hards are easier than others

"I open my notes, I don't know how to even start. I don't know where I'm wrong and I don’t want to waste time studying this subject when I know I'm not making progress" this is like going to the gym, trying to lift 300kg and not even lifting a single rep. you don't get stronger this way this happens because you're trying to do questions when you don't have the right foundation. you first need to lift many 10kg reps, and only then move on each new topic assumes you mastered older topics. if you have even small gaps in your understanding of earlier concepts, studying anything new will feel impossible this creates a cycle: you try, you get it wrong because of a shaky foundation, you feel like you're wasting time, and you give up. you need to break that cycle by focusing on making small steps forget about the current chapter for a moment. your only goal is to build a solid foundation, one brick at a time go backwards. find the last chapter or topic where you felt you understood what was going on, even a little. don't worry if it seems too simple. this is your real starting point the "one problem" rule. your new goal is not to finish a chapter or a tutorial. It is to solve one single problem correctly and understand why it's correct. that's it. this makes the task small and achievable use worked examples. this is the most crucial step find a worked example for the type of problem you are trying to solve. read through the steps once to see the process cover the solution with a piece of paper try to solve the exact same problem yourself. when you get stuck, peek at just the next line of the solution, then cover it again and keep going repeat this until you can write out the entire solution from start to finish without looking solve a similar problem. immediately after, find a fresh practice problem of the same type and solve it using the process you just learned. this proves you understand the method, not just the single example you've progressed!!! once you've solved that one new problem correctly, you are done for that session if you want to be. you made real progress. you are now slightly better at the subject than you were 30 min ago repeat this every day. by focusing on mastering one small thing at a time, you slowly repair the gaps in your foundation. the feeling of being overwhelmed will fade because you're no longer staring at a wall

let's do an Ask Me Anything (AMA) today with exams just around the corner, there’s probably a lot on your minds so let's talk about it. ask me anything about exam pressure, how to study, dealing with stress or even the juicy, unspoken stuff you're curious about your question might be the exact one someone else is too afraid to ask. let's help each other out leave a comment and i'll be here to answer them as best i can 👇
