About the Role
HR-Aid Consults is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Admin / Accounts Officer on behalf of its client to manage dual administrative and financial operations. In this role, you will oversee office facilities, vendor procurement, and administrative workflows while simultaneously managing bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, statutory tax filings, and bank reconciliations across the main business and its affiliate companies.
Key Responsibilities
* Record daily transactions into accounting software, reconcile monthly bank statements, manage accounts payable/receivable, calculate and remit statutory taxes (PAYE, VAT, WHT), and maintain petty cash controls.
* Oversee daily office operations, procurement of consumables, fixed asset tracking, utility bill payments, and facility maintenance, safety, and security.
* Develop vendor Service Level Agreements (SLAs), evaluate third-party service providers, and manage asset insurance policies and renewal schedules.
* Implement internal financial controls to eliminate waste, prepare weekly financial reports, maintain auditable document trails, and assist with external audit inquiries.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s Degree (http://B.Sc. / HND) in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
* 2–3 years of hands-on experience combining office administration and corporate accounting operations.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Sage).
* Strong knowledge of Nigerian statutory tax regulations, vendor SLA management, and internal control frameworks.
* High integrity, strong organizational skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a hybrid work arrangement.
