As the sequence continues, he is shown repeatedly looking downward, then returning to a forward gaze, with relatively little body movement. His shoulders remain fairly level, although his posture appears somewhat less erect in some of the later frames as his head spends more time directed toward the desk.
Overall, the photographs depict a progression from a more upright, forward-facing posture early in the hearing to more frequent downward head positions, repeated eye closures, sustained lip compression, continued hand clasping or pen handling, and an apparently paler complexion in many of the later images. Senator Ashley Moody questioned Dr. Fauci about funding connected to China and Wuhan, NIH research, Deborah Birx, gain-of-function research, and research involving fetal tissue and humanized mice. During Senator Moody’s questioning, Dr. Fauci’s voice became progressively weaker.He leaned backward, kept his shoulders raised, and maintained the turtle-like posture. His face appeared red at first and later became noticeably paler.
His breathing appeared heavier. He swallowed repeatedly, manipulated his pen, and continued squirming. At times he appeared to shake. He looked disheveled and physically depleted. By this point, his voice was so soft that he was difficult to hear.
Senator Josh Hawley questioned Dr. Fauci about cash awards, federal employees, ethics concerns, financial benefits, his pension, and whether staff members had been used to help secure awards During Senator Hawley’s questioning, Dr. Fauci’s shoulders rose again and he squirmed visibly. His face became red. His voice weakened further and sounded increasingly shaky. He appeared emotionally strained and at moments looked as though he might cry. His breathing appeared heavier, and his speech became extremely soft.
Senator Joni Ernst questioned Dr. Fauci about the Fifth Amendment and his refusal to answer even basic questions.
During Senator Ernst’s questioning, Dr. Fauci continued looking downward.His shoulders remained raised. He continued swallowing and manipulating his pen. His voice remained extremely soft, and by the end he was barely audible.
Conclusion
Dr. Fauci’s body language changed as the hearing progressed.
At the beginning, he appeared confident, sat upright, and used a stronger tone. He then became defensive and arrogant in tone when he accused Senator Rand Paul of targeting him.
As the questioning intensified, his shoulders rose, his head moved forward, and his posture became increasingly guarded. His breathing became heavier. He looked down, looked away, swallowed hard, licked his lips, played with his pen, leaned back, and squirmed in his chair.
His facial color changed from flushed to pale. His eyes appeared increasingly sunken and tired. His voice grew progressively softer and weaker.
By the end of the hearing, he was barely audible.
He invoked the Fifth Amendment and declined to answer, but his body language spoke volumes. As his breathing changed and he behab ot look weaker and weaker and paler and paler it was clear that this hearing took a physical toll on him.
OVERALL BODY LANGUAGE PROGRESSION
Across the sequence of photographs, several observable changes appear over the course of the hearing.
In the earlier images, Dr. Fauci sits relatively upright with his shoulders squared and his head level. His posture appears composed, and his gaze is directed forward for much of the time.
As the hearing progresses, his head is more frequently angled downward toward the desk or papers in front of him. There are repeated moments where his eyes are closed while his head is lowered before looking forward again.
Throughout many of the photographs, his lips remain tightly pressed together with relatively little facial movement. His hands are often clasped together, folded, or occupied with a pen, with repeated manipulation of the pen visible in several frames.
His facial expression remains restrained through much of the hearing, with fewer visible expressions than in the earlier photographs.
One noticeable visual change is that, in the later photographs, his complexion appears paler and more washed out than it appears in several of the earlier images. | 50 |
| 11 | DR. LILLIAN GLASS'S BODY LANGUAGE ANALYSIS OF DR. ANTHONY FAUCI: HIS BODY LANGUAGE SPOKE VOLUMES EVEN AS HE INVOKED THE FIFTH AMENDMENT
For more than 40 years, I have studied human behavior, communication, and body language. One thing I have learned is that people may refuse to speak, decline to answer questions, or invoke a legal right, but the body continues to communicate.
As I watched Dr. Anthony Fauci appear before the Senate, the hearing was clearly political. Some senators challenged him directly, while others defended him and used their time to criticize political opponents. My focus, however, was on Dr. Fauci’s changing body language as the questions became more pointed.
At the beginning, he appeared confident and sat upright. His tone then became more arrogant and defensive when he accused Senator Rand Paul of being out to get him and said that Senator Paul had made slanderous comments and publicly released his personal diary to embarrass him.
Dr. Fauci then invoked the Fifth Amendment and declined to answer questions. He did not provide substantive answers, but his body language continued to speak.
Senator Rand Paul continued pressing him with questions concerning research in China, gain-of-function research, laboratory oversight, avian flu research, and whether the possible benefits of such research justified the risks.
During Senator Paul’s questioning, Dr. Fauci’s earlier upright posture began to change. His shoulders rose and his head moved forward, creating a turtle-like posture. His breathing appeared to become heavier and less even. He looked downward and repeatedly looked away rather than maintaining a steady gaze.
He swallowed hard, licked his lips, manipulated his pen, leaned backward, and shifted in his chair. His face appeared increasingly tense and at times ashen. His eyes appeared sunken and hollow. His voice, when he did speak to invoke the Fifth Amendment or respond briefly, became weaker.
Senator Ron Johnson questioned Dr. Fauci about accountability, the pardon, and why he would not answer questions truthfully. During Senator Johnson’s questioning, Dr. Fauci remained hunched, with his shoulders elevated and his head forward.
His breathing changed noticeably. He continued licking his lips and playing with his pen. He looked away, leaned back, and appeared increasingly strained. His facial expression tightened, and his eyes appeared hollow. At moments he looked as though he was close to breaking emotionally.
Senator Gary Peters defended Dr. Fauci and described him as a scapegoat. When the questioning became less confrontational and Dr. Fauci was being defended, his body appeared more settled. His posture looked less tense, and his breathing appeared steadier.
This contrast was important because his visible tension increased during challenging questions and appeared to decrease when senators defended him.
Senator Maggie Hassan defended Dr. Fauci and used much of her time to criticize President Trump, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and Elon Musk rather than asking Dr. Fauci direct questions.
During this more supportive exchange, Dr. Fauci appeared calmer. His posture was less guarded, and there was less visible tension in his face and shoulders.
Senator Richard Blumenthal also defended Dr. Fauci and focused heavily on political issues. Again, Dr. Fauci appeared more relaxed when he was not being directly challenged. His stress behaviors were less pronounced than they were during the more aggressive questioning.
Senator Bernie Moreno questioned Dr. Fauci about school closures, six-foot distancing, businesses being forced to close, families being unable to say goodbye to dying loved ones, suicides, masking, isolation, and the people who suffered under COVID-era policies. He asked Dr. Fauci to look at the people seated behind him and to acknowledge those who had been affected.
During Senator Moreno’s questioning, Dr. Fauci’s face became flushed and red. | 53 |

Fauci pleading the 5th amendment does NOT end with Fauci pleading the 5th amendment.
He's now set himself up for criminal referral by the Senate committee to Trump's Department of Justice, who WILL indeed press charges.
The Senate committee was not asking Fauci these questions simply because they were "curious". They already had the answers right on their desks. The goal was to get Fauci to indicate that his answers "may criminally implicate him", and then refer the case to the DOJ.
He's not going to get away with anything. Justice will be swift and harsh.
Expect a death announcement soon. I believe he's going to kill himself. I could see it in every part of his body language.
