📢 Big Update: ICAI Revises Industrial Training Norms (Effective Jan 2026) The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has just dropped a significant announcement regarding the empanelment of organizations for Industrial Training. These changes, effective from January 1, 2026, aim to enhance the quality of exposure for CA students. If you are a student looking to transition into industry or a member working in a corporate, here is what you need to know: 🏢 For Organizations: New Financial Benchmarks To be eligible to train CA students, an organization must now meet at least one of the following: 1. Fixed Assets: ₹10 crore+ 2.Turnover: ₹50 crore+ 3.Joint Criteria: Paid-up share capital of ₹1 crore and Net Worth of ₹5 crore. 4.Human Capital: Must have at least two full-time CAs (members for 3+ years) 🎓 For Students: Eligibility & Benefits Thinking of switching to industry? Here are the new ground rules: Eligibility: 1. Must have cleared CA Intermediate and completed 12 months of practical training. 2. Duration: Flexible window of 9 to 12 months. 3. Pre Intimation: Must inform your Principal at least 3 months in advance. 4. Stipend: A welcome move! Minimum monthly stipend is now fixed at ₹15,000. ⚖️ Training Capacity The number of trainees a member can mentor is based on their experience: Associate Member (3+ years): 1 Trainee Fellow Member (FCA): 2 Trainees source :- icai.org
