Some individuals openly supported controversial figures like Umar Khalid, which only distracted from the actual concerns of students.
What's even more disappointing is that many students, who appear to have little understanding of the issues at hand, were busy giving lectures and turning the protest into a spectacle. Instead of presenting facts, solutions, and demands, the focus shifted towards drama, chaos, and unnecessary provocation.
If this is how protests are conducted, how can anyone expect real change? A movement loses credibility when its participants engage in misconduct, use abusive language against journalists, or treat a serious issue like a social media trend.
Students deserve better representation. The NEET and SSC controversies are serious matters that affect the future of lakhs of aspirants. These issues require disciplined, informed, and focused advocacy—not political theatrics, slogan-shouting, and attention-seeking behavior.
A protest should amplify the concerns of students, not bury them under controversy and unnecessary distractions. If Gen Z wants to be taken seriously, it must learn that meaningful change comes from facts, accountability, and constructive action—not from chaos and sensationalism.
