Dear students and staff of the Institute, ⛔️ Due to the wrongdoing of one of our staff members, whom we have dismissed, we have lost access to all our work chats and study groups, as well as to our entire team with whom we communicated through this staff member. 🛜 This former staff member has blocked us everywhere, changed passwords, removed us from groups, and has done many other things. Naturally, he will be held accountable for all of this bi-idhni-llāh, both in this world and on the Day of Judgement. 📤 However, what is important to us now is to restore all the study groups and ensure that all our students and staff receive what is rightfully due to them. 14	This is my Student Review السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته I thank Allah first, then I thank all those hard working Scholars, Teachers, Translators and others that work to facilitate this blessed initiative called معهد الدراية. May Allah bless you all and multiply your rewards in this life an in the Hereafter, Amīn. I am a 66yr old (1st Group, 2nd Semester) student. I have always had a thirst for Islamic Knowledge. Over the years, I have come to realize how important it is to Take Knowledge from those truly “Qualified” to teach. Rabaani’een! So when this program reached me, it was clear that there was nothing like it. Alhumdulillah, I knew it was something beneficial. Now my thirst for knowledge is being directed and guided in this program, اللهم بارك. The information is compiled directly from the scholars in a clear and comprehensive way. My preferred way of studying is listening to the audio( to familiarize myself with the lesson), then I print the text (taking notes/highlighting) and lastly I read the text out loud to my family. I try to have fun with my kids, rewarding them for listening. This way of studying helps understand and retain the information as well as helps me prepare for quizzes and exams. I am excited for the next lesson and book. While reading a lessons, I really feel like in “sitting at the feet of the Scholars”.	916

18	"The rank of the educated individual is among the highest ranks, and the degree of knowledge is the most noble degree. Whoever seeks to attain them and reach them through ease and comfort is deceived. Al-Jāḥiẓ said: “Knowledge is noble and mighty; it will not grant you a portion of itself until you give it your whole self. And even if you give it your whole self, you may receive some part of it.” And he spoke truthfully, for how many desire it who exert themselves in its pursuit, yet attain nothing, despite long toil and continual effort! This occurs when his intelligence is deficient, his mind is dull, and his nature is not suitable for knowledge. For understanding is only feasible with the soundness and suitableness of its instrument. If it is not sound and suitable there will not be any acceptance, in the same way in which clay does not accept a seal when dry or dissolved. Rather, it only accepts it only in its suitable state. And if the diligent student still only gains little after great exertion, then what will be of one who is sluggish and weak?" - Abū Hilāl al-'Askarī 🤲 (d. 395 AH).
