Its a tragedy that in recent years, Canadians no longer treat Rememberence Day with the reverence it deserves. This day is meant to commemorate the fallen. Such a change reflects the nation's growing disconnect from its heritage. Until recently, most Canadians managed to observe this day with reverence, but we need to give greater consideration and respect to veterans who didn't make it back. Although recent wars have been contentious, those who fought and died still deserve our remembrance. Wear your poppies , participate in the local ceremony held on the 11th hour today.We should all try to find and help a disabled/senior veteran during these times. Let's aim to make this a regular practice on Remembrance Day. As for me, I will be sending my favorite veteran and most loyal reader a package of coveted British made Typhoo Tea.
