Like charlie is clearly anything BUT terrified at riccardo, he could easily reject him (when ricc asks him to paint him), freely lash out at him (when he gets mad over riccardo critiquing his art), boss him around, ask him for favors. The reason why I point this out is because their relationship is more tame than felix and pik, who has a similar dynamic as them, yet are less friendly or tolerant despite being friends from the start

I love how despite being the leader of a literal mafia clan, riccardo's still somewhat soft to charlie. Like he gets annoyed at him sometimes, but he never threatens him, never gets seriously aggressive when he's mad at him, and tolerates all the chaos charlie caused around him.
