Since it is generally the case that none of the csat questions get deleted, it is always advisable to attempt 4n questions where n is an integer. Agar 4n-1/2/3 hai toh 4n tak tukke banaane me koi problem hai. This is for those people jo border pe rehte CSAT me. There is a mathematical rationale for this argument. If you are passing with 4n-3 questions, then even 3 more negatives will not harm. But if you are missing by 1 question, then getting one of these 3 questions right would land you above cutoff.

My two cents on CSE-2025 Reserve List : For UR, there are 129 seats. However the actual number will be lesser due to some OBC and EWS cadidates getting UR seats in the main list due to securing suitable 1/2 digit ranks and denial of OBC and EWS reservation upto around 456 rank(last UR rank). Denial beyond this rank will not affect UR candidates. Last year, the same number was 115 and 74 UR seats were alloted in the reserve list. The final cutoff was 8 marks less than final CSE2024 cutoff. Going by a similar trend, the cutoff this time could be 9-10 marks less (speculation). For other categories, the number will be equal to the number of category people occupying UR seats, which will be clear only after the 1st iteration of service allocation. This part is straight forward. Total number of people in reserve list cannot be more than 129 (1087 minus 958), including all categories due to the SOP followed by DoPT, irrespective of the number of people getting service from the main list( be it 958 or 900 or 850 or even lesser).

Important things for CSE Interview D-day: 1. e-Summon letter 2. Few passport size photos (3-6) - mandatory 2 photos for interview, (10 for medical) 3. Photo ID card (as mentioned in e summon letter) 4. 10th certificate/marksheet original 5. Graduation degree / provisional degree / 8th sem summary marksheet + rest semester marksheet just for reference purpose - original (Post grad degree if required) 6. Caste /EWS /PwD certificate 7. One set of self attested documents ( if possible take another spare set also) 8. Affidavit-(In case there is discrepancy- if any, check your mail for the same, upsc must have communicated to you if any undertaking or Affidavits is needed) 9. T.A. bills related stuff if you are claiming it like Flight tickets etc 10. Do not panic if you have missed on some of the documents or if some issue have been raised by the document examiner/UPSC deligate with your documents. Remember this is a preliminary document verification only, you will get ample time for required original documents submission. Focus more on the essential i.e. the interview. Mobile phones / bag etc will be duly submitted/placed in safe custody at the UPSC bhawan so don't worry about it. You can keep your diary with you in Circular Hall. Lastly, Do bring your 3Cs with you ie CONFIDENCE, CALMNESS AND COMMON SENSE before entering into Dholpur House. It's the last leap in this CSE cycle but not the last of your life. Treat it like that only. Give your best and leave rest to GOD.
