Black August Distro, August 29, South Bronx
Landlords, the state and cops are our enemies.
We opened a new station this Saturday: cleaning supplies. Bleach, detergent, sponges. We opened it because neighbors told us they are living with mold and pests due to neglectful landlords. Landlords in the South Bronx make people live in decrepit conditions so that they leave. They want to push Black, Muslim and Latino people out to make room for wealthy white zionist gentrifiers. We are teaching our community that the only way to fight genocide and settler colonialism (gentrification) is through organized mass resistance.
We also commemorated Black August by writing letters to political prisoners held in US prisons, aka concentration camps. Thank you to NYC Anti-Repression Group, Prison Lives Matter National, and Bring Dave Home campaign for running the table with us.
Police and prisons in the United States were built to control colonized people and anyone who resists imperial state violence. We want them gone. Period. That is why we say no cops, and no to the politicians and nonprofits who collaborate with them.
We want to be precise about what that means, because it gets flattened.
We are not “abolitionists.” We are anti-imperialists. Policing in the empire and policing in a revolutionary society are not the same institution. Cuba, China, Iran. Nations that fought their way out from under the West through revolution and now defend what their people won, against sabotage and against terrorism the West funds and arms. To collapse those into one category is a Eurocentric analysis, not a materialist one.
There is no liberation for anyone, anywhere, while Western imperialism exists.
Bronx Mutual Aid is 100% grassroots and community-led. The people who run BXMA are from this community and are fighting for sovereignty and self-determination. That means we want to own and control the land, the resources, and the production capacity of our community.
We take no grants, no city money, no corporate funding. Every table is stocked by people who decided to feed each other instead of waiting.

Painful images continue to emerge from the March 1 massacre in Karachi, where Pakistani youths gathered in front of the American regime’s Consulate to protest the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei.
According to the account, consulate guards opened fire directly on the protesters, martyring more than 30 young Pakistanis and injuring many others. They had gathered to express solidarity and condemn the martyrdom of Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei, but were met with bullets instead of justice.
Despite the scale of the massacre, these martyrs have received almost no global media coverage, no meaningful international recognition, and no calls for accountability from the institutions that routinely speak about human rights.
Their sacrifice has been ignored, but their memory remains alive. Glory to the martyrs of Karachi.

He apologized for publishing the piece and accepted responsibility for it.

US university professors are members of the ruling class. Their job is to uphold capitalism and imperialism. It's called Empire education.
The higher the level of education you receive, the higher the level of indoctrination you've received. And the higher you go, the more skilled you become at indoctrinating others. That's what a professor is. Someone who completed the process and now runs it on the next generation. CIA lies, State Department lies, fake narratives, false equivalences, and a career pipeline pushing students toward investment banks and weapons manufacturers as success.
Western universities are never going to teach you how to overthrow capitalism and imperialism. That's not their purpose. Their purpose is to assimilate and indoctrinate youth into the system. Tenure is the reward for completing that assimilation.
Look at what happens to the ones who refuse.
Yale Law School fired Helyeh Doutaghi in March 2025 over anonymous, AI-generated smears about her pro-Palestine politics. The Middle East Studies Association publicly condemned it. David Miller was fired from the University of Bristol for opposing Zionism.
That's the price of defending sovereignty, self determination, and the right to resist colonialism and Zionism inside a Western university. You get investigated, smeared, blacklisted, and removed.
The professors signing these letters aren't being fired. They aren't being smeared or investigated. They're being published and platformed. They are not targets of Zionism. They are agents of it. That's the difference and it isn't an accident.
Empire education is working exactly as designed. It does not produce revolutionaries. It produces people who can defend the empire in more sophisticated language.

| 7 |  🇮🇷 | IRGC commander: The enemy’s confrontation with the Islamic Republic is a civilizational confrontation:
Ahead of Unity Week, Brigadier General Sanatkaran, Commander of the Imam Sajjad (A) IRGC in Hormozgan Province, met with a group of Sunni scholars from across the province to discuss the country’s current political developments and issues of national unity.
During the meeting, participants reviewed the Islamic Republic’s political doctrine and examined what they described as the broader confrontation between the global system of dominance and the Islamic Revolution. They also discussed Western strategies aimed at confronting the Islamic Republic, including regime change efforts, sanctions, weakening Iran’s deterrence capabilities, infiltration, and the distortion of the Revolution’s objectives.
Referring to the recent war, Brigadier General Sanatkaran said it was not merely a military confrontation between Iran and the United States, but a broader campaign in which the enemy employed a wide range of capabilities, tools, and technologies. He said that despite these efforts, the enemy failed, and would continue to fail, because of the vigilance and awareness of the Iranian people and officials.
He stressed that the confrontation against the Islamic Republic is being pursued across multiple dimensions and has evolved into a civilizational confrontation. He added that the Islamic Revolution has achieved major accomplishments in various fields and that comparing Iran’s conditions before and after the Revolution demonstrates the country’s extensive transformation and progress.
The commander also emphasized the role and responsibility of religious scholars in guiding public opinion, explaining the enemy’s objectives and strategies, and strengthening public awareness. He said Sunni and Shia scholars play an important role in promoting unity and social cohesion by presenting issues accurately and fostering solidarity among the people.
He concluded by saying that the IRGC has always stood alongside the people and will continue working to preserve the dignity, strength, and development of the Islamic Republic while safeguarding national unity and cohesion.

One of the lesser-known stories of the war is the martyrdom of an anonymous Iranian hacker whose home in Hamedan was targeted during the first week of the conflict.
According to reports, Martyr Mohammad Mehdi Farhadi Ramin had been conducting extensive cyber operations since 2020 against U.S. military systems and other strategic infrastructure. During those operations, he reportedly obtained hundreds of terabytes of sensitive data.
His story remained largely untold throughout the war, making his death one of its overlooked chapters.

Today, one of the main goals of the arrogant powers and the US is to foment discord, and the best way for them to do so is by creating division between Shia and Sunni Muslims. You can see what the mercenaries of the arrogant powers are saying today regarding Iraq and the propaganda they are spreading. They believe they can sow the seeds of discord in this way. For many years, the arrogant powers and the Western expansionist powers have pursued these policies. We must remain vigilant against them. We must stay alert at all times and on all fronts. Conflict between Shia and Sunni Muslims is precisely what the US desires.
Muslim nations should remain vigilant and should not underestimate the enemy, its plots, or even its smallest moves. They must stay alert and awake. Today, Islamic nations and governments must unite and develop greater unanimity among themselves. I consider it necessary to warn our own nation, as well as the Iraqi, Pakistani, and other Muslim nations, that they must act against religious conflict and against division between Shia and Sunni Muslims.
Today, I see some groups that are, through an organized plot, trying to create divisions among Muslims in the name of Shia and Sunni. The massacres that take place, the explosions in mosques and Hussainiyyahs, and the attacks during prayers are undoubtedly organized by the evil Zionists and the arrogant powers. Such incidents are not organized by Muslims. We have information indicating that the Zionists and the mercenaries of the enemies of Islam are, directly or indirectly, involved in incidents taking place across different parts of the Muslim world, including Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and other countries.
Of course, I do not mean that Shias should convert to Sunni Islam or Sunnis should convert to Shia Islam. Nor do I mean that all schools of thought should be merged into one. Rather, what I mean is that Shias and Sunnis should not engage only in efforts aimed at proving the superiority of their own beliefs. Scientific and scholarly efforts are a good thing, and there is nothing wrong with engaging in them. There are some people who reject all denominations in the name of Muslim unity, but this is not an appropriate solution. The solution is for each denomination to present the truth of its beliefs through scholarly means. The followers of different denominations should continue fulfilling their religious duties while maintaining friendly relations with the followers of other denominations. Scholarly books and debates should remain within scholarly settings, not non-scholarly ones.
We do not oppose those who present their arguments through logic and scholarship. But those who try to foment schism through their words, actions, and plots are serving the interests of the enemies. Both Sunnis and Shias must remain vigilant against such efforts. Everyone has the right to follow his own denomination and to respect his own beliefs and moral values. However, respecting one’s own beliefs does not mean offending the beliefs and moral values of others.
We all believe in Islam, the Holy Prophet (S) and the Kaaba. We all pray, perform Hajj, and believe in jihad and Sharia. The matters over which we disagree are far fewer than those over which we agree. The enemies of Islam are trying to create division between Shia and Sunni Muslims, not only in Iran but throughout the entire Islamic world.

we have been out here every saturday since march. rain or shine. yesterday was the biggest one yet and everyone left with a bag full of groceries.
the south bronx did not end up the poorest district in the country by accident. it was made this way, deliberately, and there is a paper trail. the ruling class ran a highway through the middle of our neighborhoods and displaced tens of thousands of poor and working class people. banks drew red lines around us and refused to lend. in 1976 the city adopted a policy they called planned shrinkage: pull fire houses, transit, sanitation and services out of poor Black and Puerto Rican neighborhoods on purpose, so people would be forced to leave. then the landlords burned the buildings.
that is not neglect. neglect is passive. this was a plan with a budget, an author, and a name.
it never stopped, it just changed methods. today it runs through paperwork instead of bulldozers. appointments you cannot get. phone lines that ring out. documents you have to produce to prove you deserve to eat. the process is the point. a benefit that is technically available and practically impossible to reach lets the state say it is feeding you while you go hungry.
billions for the bombs sent to israel, billions for police, billions for the machinery that occupies and kills our people abroad and patrols us at home. but this is not a budgeting error and it will not be fixed by better budgeting. the state is not a neutral instrument captured by bad managers. it funds what protects the class that controls it and starves what threatens it. the war on our people in palestine, haiti, iran, lebanon, cuba, venezuela and puerto rico and the war here are run by the same zionist epstein class, for the same reason, out of the same account.
we take no grants, no corporate money, no city contracts, no support from politicians. that is a political position, not a funding preference. money comes with conditions. take a grant and a foundation decides what you are permitted to say. take a city contract and you answer to the same government that starved this borough. the function of the nonprofit sector is to take movements organizing for power and convert them into service providers who administer poverty quietly and never name who produced it. we have no interest in administering this condition.
charity leaves the arrangement in place. someone with resources gives, someone without receives, and next week both are standing exactly where they started. the point of what we do is not the meal. it is what gets built around it. a neighbor takes a bag one week and works the line the next. that neighbor learns to run a station, then a distro, then to read and argue and organize. we are not feeding people instead of organizing them. we are feeding people because a class that is hungry cannot fight, and because nothing gets built without a material base under it.
the black panther party called this survival pending revolution. the programs were never the destination. they kept people alive and built the organization that would do the rest. that is our tradition.
we are not asking the city for permission to feed ourselves. we are building an organization on these blocks, run by people from these blocks, that answers to nobody outside them. in practice that looks unglamorous: folding tables, hauling supplies from storage to the park, running pickups across the city, and showing up every saturday for six months without missing one. do that long enough, with discipline and political education attached, and it stops being a distribution and becomes a base.

| 13 |  For those outside the US and NYC, some history:
Between roughly 1970 and 1980, the South Bronx burned. Thousands of apartment buildings were destroyed by fire over that decade, and around 300,000 people lost their homes. Whole blocks were reduced to empty lots. Images of the ruins went around the world and became shorthand for urban collapse.
That destruction was policy, not decline. Banks refused to lend in Black and Puerto Rican neighborhoods, so buildings could not be maintained, repaired, or sold. The fires that followed were not accidents. European and Zionist landlords set their own buildings on fire, or paid others to, because a burned building paid out more in insurance than a rented one ever would. The state insurance program made those payouts reliable. The city then closed fire companies in the very neighborhoods that were burning, a program its own housing administrator called planned shrinkage. The city said in public that poor neighborhoods should be allowed to empty out.
Then the story got rewritten. Newspapers and politicians pointed at the ruins and blamed the residents. The message was that Black and Puerto Rican people had destroyed the neighborhood themselves, that this was simply what happened when they were left in charge of a place. The state institutions that engineered the destruction were recast as reformers, and the people who survived it were made to carry the blame. That reversal matters, because it is what justified another thirty years of abandonment.
The Black and Puerto Rican people who stayed rebuilt this borough themselves. Tenants took over abandoned buildings and made them livable. Neighbors cleared lots and planted gardens. Hip hop was built in these blocks. None of it came from the city that left.
Now the land is profitable again, and capital wants it back. Rents climb, buildings turn over, and the culture we made gets used to sell the neighborhood to the people displacing us. This is the same logic we oppose abroad: land is made valuable by the labor of people who are then treated as an obstacle to that value. The ones who built it and the ones removed from it are always the same people.
Mutual aid is how we fight it materially. The distro is not charity and it is not a service. It is survival work that keeps neighbors fed and connected to each other while we build the political base to defend this place. We don’t rely on cops, nonprofits, or politicians, because organizations funded by the institutions displacing us will never be the ones to fight them.
