China has unveiled a micro drone the size of a mosquito, weighing less than 0.3 grams and beating its wings up to 500 times per second to mimic insect flight. It carries miniature sensors for reconnaissance and surveillance, and could in theory gather information covertly in cities and inside buildings where normal drones cannot go, since it is almost invisible to the naked eye and hard to detect. Its main downsides are very short battery life because of its small size, and high sensitivity to wind. While I remain skeptical on this drone's current effectiveness, if this report is correct it will only improve over time. #hm #hmintelligence

British police have released footage of the arrest of 19-year-old Norwegian national Johannes Natland, who is accused of travelling to the UK to carry out a murder on behalf of the Foxtrot criminal network, which prosecutors say is linked to Iran. Natland was allegedly recruited and agreed to carry out the killing in exchange for €25,000, before being arrested at a hotel in Huddersfield in March 2025 while reportedly carrying two firearms and ammunition. Poland's first three F-35A Husarz fighters arrived at the 32nd Tactical Air Base in Łask on 22 May 2026, making Poland the first former Warsaw Pact country and the first nation on NATO's eastern flank to operate a fifth-generation combat aircraft on home soil. The aircraft are part of a 32-jet order signed in January 2020 under a Foreign Military Sales agreement valued at approximately $4.6 billion, covering airframes, engines, training, and initial support. The full fleet of 32 aircraft will be split between two squadrons, with the remaining jets expected to arrive across 2026 and 2027. #hm #hmintelligence

US and Iranian forces exchanged strikes overnight, with CENTCOM targeting Iranian air-defense systems, radar sites, and command facilities near the Strait of Hormuz. Iran responded with missiles and drones aimed at US targets across the region, claiming it struck the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain and a military base in Jordan. A 62-year-old Russian Lieutenant General was killed in a car bombing in Russia, according to Russian Telegram channels. His identity has not been officially confirmed, though unconfirmed reports suggest it may be General Lapin, commander of the Northern group of Russian troops. If confirmed, this would mark the fourth successful assassination of a senior Russian officer behind Russian lines. The FSB had previously announced increased security measures around high-ranking military personnel. #hm #hmintelligence
