🚀 Built something fun recently: Chillno
A cozy but competitive UNO-style game with online multiplayer.
Still early and definitely not the final form, but it’s playable and I wanted to share it with you guys:
🎮 What’s inside:
➡️ Real-time rooms (2–4 players)
➡️ Custom cards like RPS (Rock, Paper, Scissors) and Heads/Tails
➡️ UNO callouts + penalties (don’t forget 😈)
🛠 Tech stack:
➡️ React + TypeScript + Vite
➡️ WebSockets (Node + ws)
➡️ Tailwind + Framer Motion
Big shoutout to good ol’ GPT for helping me move faster
You can play with others in public or private lobbies or just run it solo against the “AI”:

If you try it out, I’d really appreciate feedback — especially on gameplay, UI, or anything that feels off 🙏
HOLY PEAK, WE'RE EATING SO GOOD🔥🔥🔥😭😭😭😭

I think I may have created something fun with my latest project (be it side or not is up to the viewer😂). I will be deploying it in a few. Hopefully things go smooth🙏🏾

Yesterday I got a call from the IS hub asking my to be a speaker for one of their events today. I sadly couldn't because of work and a demo. Funny thing, I was told that people wanted me to come and suggest to get "that chill coding lounge guy" and that I had fans.
I doubt this. Fans? Never😂 Nonetheless, I was glad to be picked as a candidate for the event. I hope I can make it to the next one (or other ones)

1 USD = 155 ETB.
No one here is paying me 155x my effort, so I stopped working with local clients like 1 and half year ago. (same for @Natyiu0). If you trust your skills and have solid projects (not just AI to do lists), go to YC startups, find early stage founders on LinkedIn or X, and DM them. Twitter Premium helps and its worth it.
If you’re good, you can land a $1k internship for 1–2 months. Go all in, and it can turn into a $3k–$4k full-time role. I’ve seen it happen. If you’re not there yet, build. 2–4 hours a day. One strong project every week for 4 weeks. Post on X (views don’t matter), then start DMing.
Keep building, make projects more complex over time. Just make side projects a habit. Rewire your brain.

Penpad-Desktop.
(A project I started about 9 months ago and completely abandoned cause i switched to mobile dev), but the idea came at 3am(One of those "I need to fix my life😑" moments) so basically, I wanted a site/App where I can monitor everything. Yes notion exists but I was looking for templates and couldn't find one that fits my desire. And apparently coding it was easier than creating a notion page lol. ANYWAYS,
on penpad you can:
••• journal
••• track Periods
••• track Budget
••• track Sleep Schedule
••• log your schedules with a calendar
••• to-do list
••• create any list you want
••• get a summary of a specific day
— penpad.jer.works
The mobile version is done too but its a bit different from this(its having production issues)
First ever makefile! I'm having so much fun learning new concepts although it's hard af to understand.
