Kurt called Calvin Johnson, the DJ of KAOS-FM’s Boy Meets Girl show, live on air, asking if he could come to the studio to play. During the broadcast, Kurt was interviewed by Calvin and performed eight acoustic tracks. During the interview, Kurt announced live on air that Dave Grohl was to be the band’s new drummer and that he had not yet informed Bruce Pavitt (Sub Pop co-founder). Probably after "Aneurysm," Kurt's amp blew up and he had to borrow one from the Melvins. After "Vendetagainst," the band briefly jammed on "Dirt" by The Stooges. The beginning of "Negative Creep" was played very softly with Kurt singing in a falsetto voice.
