To ride at a high level, there are some things that really make a difference. Clip-in shoes and pedals are one of them. The power transfer is just on another level compared to normal pedals. You feel it immediately. Same with having a proper bike computer. Being able to track things like heart rate, effort, and overall performance helps a lot if you actually want to improve, not just ride for the sake of it. I’ve used both before when I was riding with the regional team in Jimma, so I know how much they matter. Now that I’m riding solo again, I have to get them myself… and they’re not cheap at all. Clip shoes + pedals: 27,000 ETB Bike computer: 26,000 ETB That’s basically the price of a bike 😅 Anyway, just sharing where I’m at right now. Step by step.
