As per Shastriji Maharaj's agna, devotees observe a nirjala (waterless) fast on this day.
Devotees also take a small murti of Bhagwan and the clay murti of Ganeshji to a river or lake. Here, devotees perform puja, arti, and thal of both murtis five times. After each puja, both murtis are taken on a short boat ride.
During this time, devotees sing bhajans which describe the importance of sharnagati, or surrendering oneself to Bhagwan and the Guru. After the puja, the murti of Ganeshji is submerged into the ocean.

Jay Swaminarayan. There is a Lunar Eclipse (Chandra Grahan) this Thursday, Aug 27. Please refer to the attached memo and graphics for full center-specific timings, and pass along the "How to Observe" and “Timings” graphics.
Summary:
Vedh begins 9 hours before the eclipse — water only, no food
During the eclipse — no food or water or other liquids; do devotion: sit in one place for jāp, kathā, dhun, kīrtan, or watch video darshan
After the eclipse — wash any clothes worn or touched during it, and bathe before putting on anything new
Shikshapatri (86–87): At the time of a solar or lunar eclipse, one should instantly stop all activities and chant the mantra of God in a purified state. After the eclipse, devotees should bathe with the clothes one is wearing and then offer worship to God (householders should offer donations and renunciants should do puja).
Satsang Diksha (266): When the eclipse is over, all should bathe and soak the clothes they are wearing. Thereafter, renunciants should perform puja and householder devotees should give donations. | 1 287 |

The details can be confusing so below is a summary:
Vedh
•Wednesday ~1AM (depending on where you live).
•Only water.
•Activities as normal.
Actual Eclipse
•Wednesday ~1 pm - 3 pm.
•No water.
•Sit in one spot and do bhakti, read, katha, Guruhari Darshan, satsang diksha etc.
After Eclipse
• Shower with your clothes on and wash any cloths you touched during the eclipse.
Shriji Maharaj has said: At the time of a solar or lunar eclipse, one should instantly stop all activities and chant the mantra of God in a purified state. (86). After the eclipse, devotees should bathe with the clothes one is wearing and then offer worship to God (householders should offer donations and renunciants should do puja). (87)
