You have been separated unto God. Never be afraid to be different. The moment you belong completely to God, you stop measuring your life by the standards of your generation and begin measuring it by His purpose. While others are moving with the crowd, you are moving with God. While others are following trends, you are following truth. The majority is not always right, and the minority is not always wrong. If you are unwilling to stand apart when necessary, you have not fully embraced the life of consecration. Holiness has two dimensions that work together. The first is consecration—your continual surrender to God. The second is saturation—God's continual work of filling and transforming you. Together, they produce the sanctified life. Every day, you surrender yourself through prayer, obedience, and devotion. Every day, God responds by filling you with more of Himself. As this divine cycle continues, something remarkable happens: your life increasingly reflects His presence. You become less controlled by the world and more governed by God. His thoughts shape your thinking. His desires become your desires. His priorities become your priorities. This is the ultimate goal of consecration—that through continual surrender and continual transformation, your life becomes a visible expression of Christ. The life of every believer is meant to reveal Christ. This growth in renewal is organic, progressive, and transformational.
