Unravelling Eastern Wisdom 🐉 Our specialists in international relations visited the Center of Oriental Literature at the Russian State Library, where they immersed themselves in the vast world of ancient texts and engaged with rare resources that broadened their research horizons.

The Center of Oriental Literature is one of the most significant collections of books and materials dedicated to the cultures, histories, and languages of the East. Located in the heart of Moscow, it is a treasure trove of knowledge, offering access to ancient manuscripts, rare books, and modern research on the rich civilizations of Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.

During the visit, the fellows embarked on an enriching journey into the secrets of the Eastern civilization: 🔍 they delved into the depths of the archives and explored a wealth of resources from original ancient manuscripts to contemporary works, many of which are essential for their research projects; 🔍 they learned about the process behind the organization of Eastern texts, including categorization, codification, and preservation methods; 🔍 they were among the first to peek into the Chinese hall, where they discovered the state's heritage. BRICS in Focus: InteRussia Journalists Explore the Global Stage💡 You can't get too much BRICS. This week, InteRussia fellows in journalism met with Victoria Panova, Head of the BRICS Expert Council – Russia. The event sparked meaningful discussions, allowing participants to explore some of the pivotal global issues firsthand.

The BRICS Expert Council–Russia, based at HSE University and initiated by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Russian Ministry of Finance, acts to provide information, analytical, and expert support for Russia's participation in BRICS, particularly for preparing expert events held as part of Russian BRICS Chairship in 2024.

Throughout the meeting, some crucial topics were addressed, including 😖 the BRICS Summit and the priorities of the Russian chairmanship; 😖 the evolving role of BRICS in shaping a multipolar world order; 😖 the relationships between the member countries and future of international cooperation.
