And we're done. and the big thing i miss was i didn't store the chat id for the telegram messages that are going to be ingested through the system when i made the knowledge model so i have to force pass the system to pass the existing check 😮‍💨 and before you say it yeah it's a dumb decision to not store some type of source identification to compare to and i thought the message_id would but well not in multiple channel post context i guess 😮‍💨😅

Actual tech update since this channel exists now: I was working on a side project that needed to accept payments. Anyone building here knows integrating local payment gateways is usually a massive headache. At first, I thought: "Whatever, I’ll just have users Telebirr me and drop their transaction ID so I can verify it manually." Then I realized that meant turning myself into a 24/7 human verification bot—miserable idea. Then it clicked: that’s basically how Yegara Host handles it. You pay, paste the reference on their site, and it verifies instantly. Your phone gets an SMS with the transaction details anyway whenever money lands. So why not just build an Android app to intercept incoming SMS messages and let your backend query the phone to verify transactions automatically? Built it. Called it BirrSync. (Let that sync in. get it? Elite comedy, I know.) The stack: • Flutter background app on the phone • Lightweight Go server to coordinate lookups Telebirr parsing works smoothly right now (CBE is in progress). Another morning, another bug in the RAG System for AtoAI. 😅 Basically, I added the message-streamer bot to all my channels. Before classifying and chunking a message, it checks the database for the Telegram message ID to prevent duplication. Here’s the problem: I had already imported every post from this channel into the AtoAI database. Since Telegram assigns incrementing message IDs, if the latest post has ID 2321, that means the previous 2320 posts have already been processed. But Telegram message IDs are unique only within their respective chats, not across all channels. Since all my channels share the same database, a new post on Equb Manager could have an ID that already exists in the database, causing the system to skip it. So, we need to update the filtering logic to check both the channel ID and message ID, rather than the message ID alone. So, that's what we're fixing today. In my head, it looks like a simple task. i hope ...😅
