💔 Sometimes, one conversation is enough to remind us why mental health support matters. Sharing this powerful reflection from one of our students. Please take a moment to read it.
As we are all aware, the Ministry of Education is reassigning students from universities in the Tigray region to various institutions across the country. Today, I had a phone conversation with one of these students. She reached out hoping to connect with her batchmates at our university. She explained that she had only completed four weeks of her C1 3rd attachment before the war interrupted her education. I tried to tell her to leave the 4 weeks behind  and start again with us mentioning to her that a few weeks' gap is manageable and that we would be starting together this month. However, I was left utterly speechless when she told me that she was from 2012 E.C. batch. As we all know the 2012 batch Med students have already graduated💔. Realizing the massive gap in years and the educational delay caused by circumstances entirely beyond their control is really heartbreaking. So this made me feel the immense psychological trauma and frustration these students are carrying. This brings me to the newly established Mental Health and Counselling Club in our campus. Today’s encounter proved to me just how crucial this initiative is. Supporting students mentally is no longer just an option; it is our moral obligation. They have endured traumatic experiences, and they need our help to navigate this transition academically and psychologically. So, I strongly urge all of us to Actively participate in the Mentorship Club. Share resources and offer psychological support to help them reintegrate smoothly. And also let us welcome our incoming brothers and sisters with immense empathy. Organizers and founders of the Mentorship Club, you are doing an incredibly vital job. Your foresight in establishing this platform will change lives, and I pray,  may God abundantly reward you for your efforts. Let us all step up and do our part.🙏

🧠 A little story… There was this student on our campus who looks completely fine and happy. He/She attends classes. He/She laughs with friends. He/She submits assignments. From the outside, everything seems normal. But, when he/she is alone, he/she feels overwhelmed, exhausted, anxious, or simply lost. He/She wants someone to talk to for a long time—but he/she didn't know where to go. And the end isn't what you want to hear. Maybe you know this student. Maybe you are this student. We are working so hard to make sure those kinds of stories won't be repeated. Students don't have to struggle silently. But we can't build the solution around assumptions. We need to hear from YOU. 👉 Speak up. Your voice can help someone feel less alone. 🔗 [Fill the Survey](https://forms.gle/prDLpq69VaXq5NqAA)

On June 28, 2026, the Anti-Drug and Public Health Club, the Anti-HIV/AIDS Movement Club, and the Environmental Protection Club jointly conducted a sanitation campaign at the student cafeteria. The activity was organized to promote a clean and healthy campus environment while strengthening collaboration and teamwork among the clubs.
