On August 4, 22 a devastating explosion tore through Beirut's port, leaving behind a trail of destruction and loss. The blast, fueled by tons of ammonium nitrate, claimed over 200 lives, injured thousands, and displaced hundreds of thousands more.
The shockwaves of that fateful day continue to reverberate through Lebanon. Homes, businesses, and livelihoods were shattered, leaving a city scarred and a nation in mourning. The explosion exposed deep-rooted issues of negligence and corruption, further fueling the anger and frustration of the Lebanese people.
As we remember the victims and the immense suffering caused by the Beirut explosion, let us also stand in solidarity with the Lebanese people. Their resilience and determination to rebuild their lives and their city are an inspiration to us all.
May justice be served for the lives lost and the countless lives forever altered by this tragedy. May Lebanon find peace, stability, and a brighter future.
