Hey everyone ✌️, If you really want to grow as a trader, keep it simple. Here’s what actually works: 1️⃣Pick one clear setup — define entry, exit and risk. 2️⃣Backtest it for at least 5 years. See how it works. 3️⃣Go live with small quantity. It must feel boring. 4️⃣Take real trades, control emotions, keep all actions close to your backtest. 5️⃣Review every day — check if you followed your rules or not.

🧠 Have you ever thought why the backtesting result doesn’t match your live trade results? You spend hours testing a strategy, the numbers look perfect, but when you start trading live — results fall apart. Why does this happen? In my experience, around 95% of traders face this gap. And the reason often comes from both sides of the process — how we backtest, and how we trade live. --- The Two-Side a Coin 1️⃣ The Backtesting Side For many traders, the problem starts before they even go live. - They don’t have a clear system — no defined entry or exit rules, no confluence. Most take trades based on gut feeling, not a structured plan. - Even their testing setup isn’t real. They try to mimic market moves with shortcuts or DIY methods, or use software without proper settings. The result looks good on paper, but it’s far from real market behaviour. 📉 The Live Trading Side Even after good backtesting, live results often change. There are two main reasons — risk and confidence. - Many traders don’t manage risk properly — wrong position size, chasing losses, or closing trades too early. - Others lose confidence because they haven’t practiced enough. They jump into the market too soon, and when losses come, emotions take over. Fear after a loss, greed after a win — and suddenly, the same strategy feels uncertain. --- 💡 So What’s the Way Forward? The goal is to make your testing and trading speak the same language. - Start with one clear setup, not many. Define your entry, exit, and risk properly, then backtest it for at least three years. That will show your average accuracy, drawdown, risk–reward, and win/loss streaks. - Once you trade live, review every trade after market close.Ask — Did I follow my rules, or act on emotion?
