My dear brothers and sisters, as we journey through the sacred days of Ramadhan, let’s pause and ask ourselves: why are we reading the Holy Qur’an? Is it to race to the finish line, or to truly meet the One who revealed it? The Qur’an isn’t just a book we rush through to tick off an accomplishment. It’s a divine conversation... between us and Allah SWT. When we sit with its verses, with a heart that’s still and a mind that reflects, we begin to taste its sweetness. One verse understood, one word pondered over, can change the course of our soul far more than pages read in haste. So we must recite with love, with presence, with longing. We should approach the Holy Qur’an not just with our eyes, but with our hearts. Be in a state of purity... not just physically, but spiritually. Read slowly, reflect deeply. When something isn’t clear, look for its meaning. Make the Qur’an your companion, not a task. And remember: the goal is not to say “I finished it,” but to let it finish what it started within you. May Allah SWT make the Qur’an the light of our hearts and the guide of our lives.

يا مَن هُوَ في عَهدِهِ وَفيُّ، يا مَن هُوَ في وَفائِهِ قَويُّ، يا مَن هُوَ في قوَّتِهِ عَليُّ، يا مَن هُوَ في عُلوِّهِ قَريبٌ، يا مَن هُوَ في قُربِهِ لَطيفٌ، يا مَن هُوَ في لُطفِهِ شَريفٌ، يا مَن هُوَ في شَرَفِهِ عَزيزٌ، يا مَن هُوَ في عِزِّهِ عَظيمٌ، يا مَن هُوَ في عَظَمَتِهِ مَجيدٌ، يا مَن هُوَ في مَجدِهِ حَميدٌ. وَوَصَّيْنَا الْإِنسَانَ بِوَالِدَيْهِ حَمَلَتْهُ أُمُّهُ وَهْنًا عَلَىٰ وَهْنٍ وَفِصَالُهُ فِي عَامَيْنِ أَنِ اشْكُرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيْكَ إِلَيَّ الْمَصِيرُ And We have enjoined upon man [care] for his parents. His mother carried him, [increasing her] in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years. [We said], 'Be grateful to Me and to your parents; to Me is the [final] destination.'
