robinhood is 6x smaller but grew 70% in the last month alone. base grew 12%
i will never understand the hate from SOL trenchers. you have a chain with the biggest retail audience outside crypto and you're against it?
the second order effect nobody talks about: as TVL grows, robinhood app users discover onchain coins, join communities, tell friends and family = up only
base had that same opportunity and the leaders didn't care enough to keep it

below you will find my research which I did in the last 24h. I think this privacy coin on robinhood is extremly undervalued (privacy is hot with ZEC being up 200% in the last 30d)
Detailed research by me:
a privacy protocol on robinhood chain, with public code & a fee-funded buyback mechanism, at roughly $300k mcap
$SHERWOOD caught my attention, so i spent the past 24h to looking into the product, token economics & what actually needs to happen for the thesis to work
there’s an interesting opportunity here. there are also meaningful gaps
sherwood is building a privacy layer & shielded swap protocol on robinhood chain
according to its documentation, users can deposit ETH or USDG into a privacy pool, swap shielded assets & withdraw to a fresh address without a visible onchain link to the original deposit
the public repository describes a privacy mixer & shielded DEX using zero-knowledge proofs and merkle trees
the github organization also includes contracts, an sdk, a wallet extension & integration repositories. that gives the project a concrete technical foundation to evaluate, although public code alone doesn’t establish security
what interests me most is how product usage could translate into demand for the token
according to the token docs, protocol fees fund market buybacks of $SHERWOOD
more usage = more fees = more potential buyback demand
but there’s a detail worth understanding: the purchased tokens are deposited into the privacy vault. they are not burned, so those buybacks should not be treated as permanent supply reduction
the mechanism is documented. meaningful recurring revenue & its actual impact on token demand still need to be demonstrated.
my sept 18 research snapshot:

the medium-term thesis comes down to adoption.
if robinhood chain grows & sherwood becomes a tool people regularly use for private transfers, shielded swaps or funding fresh wallets, the protocol could develop recurring activity
more participation could also expand the anonymity set. the project itself acknowledges that privacy improves as more users join the pool, which makes adoption relevant to the quality of the product as well as its economics
wallet, sdk & agent integrations could help distribution. the public repositories suggest work in that direction, but integrations need to translate into actual users
there’s also a possible narrative tailwind: at the time of checking, ZEC was up 35% over 7 days & 190% over 30 days on coingecko. sustained strength could draw attention toward smaller privacy projects, including sherwood. that’s a potential catalyst

most traders are working hard in games with capped upside
taking mediocre setups, borrowing conviction from loud accounts, then blaming them when your trade is -pnl
a legit assymetric bet is finding trades where being wrong is cheap, but being right changes your port

easy to admire the chart afterwards yet much harder to hold your conviction while the market questions it
