A new update is now available on iOS and Android. This release focuses on step counter stability, a smoother ad experience, and overall usability improvements.
🔹 Key Updates
▫️ Step Counter Stability (Android)
The custom step-counter notification (larger text, claim button, etc.) could cause the app to close on Android 16, so we've had no choice but to switch steps and rewards to the standard notification format for now. Once we find a way to improve it, we plan to bring the upgraded notification back. Your step data also continues correctly even after a device reboot or date change.
▫️ Smoother Ad Experience
Improved the ad flow so that ad results and fallback ads transition more smoothly. Ads are now prepared in advance, one at a time and only as needed, reducing ad wait times and resource usage on Android. Your ad completion and rewards are also delivered correctly even when an ad loads slowly, plays for a long time, or you switch away from the app and come back.
▫️ Usability & Stability Improvements
Back-swipe on iOS now follows your actual navigation history. On Android, we fixed a launch screen issue where a default icon or mismatched background could appear, and the app now guides you with clear steps when a system WebView update is needed. Admin Message push notifications now show the correct content for each message type, and error screens have been improved so you can reach customer support more easily.

[대표 서한] 상장과 회사 재정에 대해 한 번 더 말씀드립니다
안녕하세요, 베리챗 대표 고광현입니다.
어제 밋업 질의응답에서 상장 관련 질문에 답변드렸지만, 현장의 답변만으로는 궁금증을 풀어드리기에 부족했던 것 같습니다. 혼선을 드린 점 죄송하게 생각하며, 글로 한 번 더 자세히 말씀드립니다.
1. 상장 시기를 특정하지 못하는 이유
상장은 여러 거래소와의 협의를 거쳐야 하는 사안이라, 지금 시점에는 저희도 시기를 확정할 수 없습니다.
또한 상장이 확정되더라도 상장 공지는 저희가 아니라 거래소가 자체 공지를 통해 발표하는 것이 원칙입니다. 프로젝트가 이를 먼저 공개하면 상장 자체가 취소될 수 있는 것이 많은 거래소들의 관행이기에, 상장일은 저희가 먼저 말씀드리는 것이 불가능한 구조입니다. 상장이 확정되는 날, 여러분은 거래소의 공식 공지로 가장 먼저 소식을 접하시게 될 것이고, 저희는 그 즉시 공식 채널로 안내드리겠습니다.
2. 지금 실제로 진행되고 있는 것들
현재 여러 거래소로부터 상장 제안을 받은 상태이며, 상장 심사서류와 Audit(보안 감사), 법률자문서 등을 준비해 기술적, 법적 문제가 생기지 않도록 만전을 기하고 있습니다.

3. "매출 대부분이 한국인데, 글로벌 성장이 회사 재정에 도움이 되느냐"는 의견에 대해
결론부터 말씀드리면, 이미 작년부터 글로벌 매출이 한국 매출을 넘어섰습니다. 사용자 수 대비 한국의 광고 수익이 높은 것은 사실이지만, 현재 광고 수익은 전 세계 170여 개국에서 발생하고 있습니다. 광고 단가는 한국보다 낮더라도 글로벌 유저 수가 압도적으로 많기 때문에, 회사 매출의 대부분은 이제 글로벌에서 나오고 있습니다.
비용 측면에서도, CTO 영입과 인프라 구조 개선을 통해 해외 유저가 늘어도 서버 비용이 기하급수적으로 늘지 않도록 운영하고 있습니다. 유저 성장이 비용이 아니라 매출을 견인하는 구조이기에, 글로벌 커뮤니티의 성장은 곧 회사 재정의 성장입니다.
4. "이제 돈 잘 벌어서 상장 안 해도 되는 거 아니냐"는 의견에 대해
제가 밋업에서 손익분기점 달성을 강조하여 오해가 생긴 것 같습니다. 정확히 말씀드리면, 손익분기점은 서비스가 외부 수혈 없이 스스로 유지될 수 있다는 생존의 기반일 뿐, 필수 인력을 충원하고 글로벌 확장을 가속하기에는 아직 많이 부족한 규모입니다. 그리고 회사에 매출이 많이 나온다고 해서 상장이 필요 없어지는 것도 아닙니다. 그 이유는 바로 아래에서 이어가겠습니다.
5. 팀과 홀더의 방향은 같습니다
팀 물량은 상장 이후 1년 이상이 지나야 비로소 락업 해제가 시작되는 구조입니다. 즉 팀의 보상은 상장 그 자체가 아니라, 상장 이후에도 프로젝트가 오래 성장해야 비로소 의미가 생기는 구조로 설계되어 있습니다.
저희 팀은 이제 곧 창업 3년이 됩니다. 지금 당장 상장하더라도 초기 팀원들이 첫 보상을 받기까지 4년이 넘게 걸리는 셈이고, 저 역시 마찬가지입니다. 상장이 너무 늦어지는 것은 홀더분들뿐 아니라 팀의 동력에도 영향을 줄 수 있기에, 상장을 바라는 마음은 홀더분들과 팀이 다르지 않습니다.
6. 그럼에도 신중한 이유
무료 채굴앱 중 상장 이후까지 성공적으로 안착한 선례는 거의 없습니다. 저희는 그 첫 번째 성공 사례가 되려 합니다. 그래서 더 완벽하게 준비해야 한다는 책임감으로 임하고 있습니다.
누누이 말씀드리지만 상장 그 자체가 목표가 아닙니다. 상장 이후에도 꾸준히 성장하는 프로젝트가 되어야 베리코인을 채굴하신 모든 분이 웃을 수 있다고 믿습니다.
우리 모두의 열망이 실망이 아닌 축제가 될 수 있도록, 단 한 번의 기회를 적기에 쓸 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠습니다.

| 6 | [A Letter from the CEO] On the Listing and Our Company's Finances
Hello, this is Bryan Ko, CEO of VeryChat.
While I answered the listing questions during yesterday's meetup Q&A, I feel my answers on the spot were not enough to fully address your questions. I apologize for any confusion, and I would like to explain things once more, in writing and in detail.
1. Why we cannot specify a listing date
A listing must go through negotiations with multiple exchanges, so at this point we ourselves cannot confirm a timeline.
Moreover, even once a listing is confirmed, it is the exchange — not us — that makes the announcement through its own official notice. It is common practice among many exchanges that if a project discloses a listing first, the listing itself can be canceled. In other words, it is structurally impossible for us to be the ones to announce a listing date. When the day comes, you will hear the news first through the exchange's official announcement, and we will follow up immediately through our official channels.
2. What is actually in progress right now
We have received listing proposals from multiple exchanges, and we are preparing listing review documents, a security audit, and legal opinions to make sure no technical or legal issues arise.
At TOKEN2049 in Singapore this October, our COO Jaeyong will meet exchange representatives in person for closer discussions. As part of the listing preparation, Whitepaper 2.0 and a website renewal are also planned.
3. On the view that "most revenue comes from Korea — does global growth really help the company's finances?"
To get straight to the point: our global revenue already surpassed our Korean revenue last year. It is true that Korea's ad revenue is high relative to its user count, but our ad revenue now comes from over 170 countries around the world. Even though ad rates are lower than in Korea, our global user base is overwhelmingly larger — so the majority of the company's revenue now comes from global markets.
On the cost side, thanks to our new CTO and improvements to our infrastructure, server costs do not grow exponentially as overseas users increase. User growth drives revenue, not costs. The growth of our global community is the growth of our company's finances.
4. On the view that "the company makes money now, so it doesn't need a listing"
I believe my emphasis on reaching break-even at the meetup created a misunderstanding. To be precise: break-even is the foundation of survival — it means the service can sustain itself without outside funding — but it is still far from the scale needed to hire the essential team members and accelerate our global expansion. And strong revenue does not make a listing unnecessary. Let me explain why below.
5. The team and the holders want the same thing
Team tokens only begin unlocking more than one year after the listing. In other words, the team's reward is designed to depend not on the listing itself, but on the project continuing to grow long after it.
Our team will soon mark three years since founding. Even if we listed today, it would take over four years for the early team members to receive their first rewards — and that includes me. A listing that comes too late affects not only our holders but also the team's momentum. When it comes to hoping for this listing, the team and the holders are no different.
6. Why we remain careful nonetheless
Among free mining apps, there is almost no precedent of a project landing successfully beyond its listing. We intend to be the first such success story. That is why we feel a responsibility to prepare more thoroughly than anyone.
As I have said many times, the listing itself is not the goal. Only a project that keeps growing after the listing can put a smile on the face of everyone who has mined VERY — and that is what we are building.
