⭕️ The Texas State Board of Education has accepted several of curriculum recommendations from an evangelical Christian group known as “Proclaiming Justice to the Nations” (PJTN) which require students to study aspects of Israeli history, particularly that Israel was founded as the “ancestral homeland of the Jews,” as well as emphasize the Judeo-Christian character of the U.S. The board accepted the changes (8-4 vote) and will implement the changes in 2030. PJTN estimates that the Texas changes could influence instruction for as many as 25 million students nationwide, citing the state’s influence on educational materials.

⭕️ Bloomberg News reports, citing European sources, that Saudi Arabia has informed European refiners that they will not be allocating any crude oil next month amid the East-West pipeline shutdown due to the conflict with Ansarullah in Yemen. Prior to the shutdown, European countries imported 577,000 barrels of crude oil per day from Saudi Arabia. With the additional loss of access to Russian energy, Europe is facing one of its worst energy crises in modern history.
