2024 UTME : OYO, OGUN TOP AS JAMB REGISTERS 1.9 MILLION CANDIDATES IN FIVE WEEKS*
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Monday revealed that Oyo, Ogun, and Osun states topped the list of candidate registration for the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
In a UTME application statistics by states of origin released by the Board, Oyo State topped the list of States with the highest number of candidates recorded 123, 636 candidates from 43 registration centres that will be served by 5 examination centres.
Second on the list of UTME application statistics by state of origin is Ogun State with 114,435 candidates registered from 45 registration centres that will be served by 4 examination centres for the test scheduled to be held on Thursday 7th March 2024 nationwide.
Osun State recorded a total of 110,854 candidates from 24 registration centres. The state will be served by 4 examination centres.
However, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja recorded the least number of candidates registration with 8,020 from 27 registration points that will be served by 4 examination centres.
According to JAMB, out of the 1,985,642 that registered for the 2024 UTME, a total of 139 foreign candidates were also captured in the registration also recorded a total of 2,026 People Living With Disabilities (PLWDs) for the examination.
