The discussion around the 8th Pay Commission has intensified after reports suggested a possible 1.89x fitment factor, which could significantly revise the salary structure of central government employees once implemented. While no official notification has been released yet, the projection has already triggered widespread interest among employees and financial analysts. According to the estimate, the fitment factor is a multiplier used to convert the existing basic pay into a revised structure. If the proposed 1.89x factor is applied, an employee with a current basic pay of around ₹18,000 could see it increase to approximately ₹33,984, marking a substantial jump in base salary. *₹20,000 की रिश्वत मामले में डाक विभाग के अधीक्षक गिरफ्तार* नई दिल्ली, 18 अप्रैल: केंद्रीय अन्वेषण ब्यूरो (CBI) ने डाक विभाग के अधीक्षक (AMPC, महिपालपुर, नई दिल्ली) को रिश्वत मामले में गिरफ्तार किया है। CBI के अनुसार, आरोपी अधिकारी को शिकायतकर्ताओं से ₹20,000 की रिश्वत मांगने के आरोप में पकड़ा गया। बताया गया कि उसने शाखा स्थानांतरण रोकने और अवकाश स्वीकृत करने के बदले रिश्वत की मांग की थी। बातचीत के बाद आरोपी ₹20,000 में से ₹10,000 की पहली किस्त लेने पर सहमत हुआ। CBI ने 17 अप्रैल 2026 को ट्रैप लगाकर आरोपी को ₹10,000 रिश्वत लेते हुए रंगे हाथ गिरफ्तार कर लिया। मामले में आगे की जांच जारी है।
