AN INTRODUCTION TO THE 7 MOUNAINS OF INFLUENCE The 7 Mountains of Influence is a framework that highlights seven key areas of society that shape culture and drive societal change. The idea is that whoever controls these areas has the most influence over people's beliefs, values, and behaviors. It originated from Christian thought leaders like Loren Cunningham (founder of YWAM) and Bill Bright (founder of Campus Crusade for Christ) in the 1970s, who believed that Christians should engage in these spheres to bring positive transformation. The idea behind the 7 Mountains of Influence is that if people with strong morals and values (especially Christians, according to the original teaching) actively engage in these areas, they can have a positive impact on society rather than leaving these spheres to be shaped by negative influences.
