🌟 Telegram will launch internal currency Telegram Stars This decision was made due to multiple complaints from Apple , which prohibits accepting payments bypassing its application store. Apple notified Telegram of a violation of the App Store policy by a bot. Bots accept payments for digital goods and services directly from customers, bypassing Apple's in-app purchase mechanism. Application verification rules 4.7 and 3.1.1 were violated. Starting from June 12, all bots accepting payments from users for any digital goods or subscriptions will be required to accept payment exclusively in Telegram Stars, developers will be able to withdraw the accumulated balance using the TON blockchain , and users will be able to purchase it through in-app purchases from Apple and Google and then use it for payment for digital goods and services. The Telegram team stated that full updated API documentation will be published in the next few days . Developers can now adapt their bots and mini-applications to new requirements. The changes do not affect payments for physical goods and services . Detailed information will be available on the @botnews channel. The introduction of the internal currency Telegram Stars in Telegram is a response to complaints from Apple and its demands to comply with App Store policies.
