O student of knowledge, busy yourself with that which benefits you. Shaykh Sālih Sindī (may Allāh preserve him) said: “A piece of advice to you O student of knowledge, & indeed those before you have tried & tested it. Your life is short & time is even shorter for you to try & comprehend everything from knowledge, therefore strive in reaching that which benefits you. Take this brief path that connects you to Knowledge: ⏺️ A matter that doesn’t benefit you in knowledge & action - you don’t have anything to do with it. Leave it off, stay away from it & busy yourself with that which benefits you. ⏺️ Don’t be occupied by that which doesn’t benefit you. ⏺️ How many (in number) are those who delve into that which doesn’t benefit them, wasting time: hours, days, nights, & perhaps years, and he paints himself as a student of knowledge, then finds after that; he is nothing (in regards to knowledge), he hasn’t attained anything, The reason: he was occupied with that which was of no benefit to him”.

قال مالك بن دينار رحمه الله: ‏كُلُّ جَلِيسٍ لَا تَسْتَفِيدُ مِنْهُ خَيْرًا فَاجْتَنِبْهُ ‏📚« ابن أبي عاصم في الزهد (٨٦) Mālik bin Dīnār rahimahullāh said: “Stay away from every companion who you do not benefit any good from”. Times for all lessons are (BST) 1️⃣ Mondays & Wednesdays @ 7:50pm: Al-Mu’taqad As-sahīh. 2️⃣ Thursdays & Fridays @10:25pm: Revision of Al-Lāmiyyah (Al-Hā’iyyah to start after ) 3️⃣ Saturdays @ 10:25pm: The conditions of the prayer 4️⃣ Sundays @ 4pm: Ad-durūs Al-Muhimmah. Taught by: Abū Ibrāhīm Fahad. 5️⃣ Sundays @ 7:30pm: Knowledge mandates action (Iqtidā Al-‘Ilm Al-‘Amal). Taught by: Abul Hasan ‘Alī ▶️ Note: Times of lessons will change over time in line with change in seasons/prayers. ▶️ Occasional lectures by different students of knowledge will also be streamed.

﷽ New lessons: Alhamdulillāh, we are pleased to announce a new lesson that will be streamed on the channel. Book: Knowledge mandates action by Khatīb Al-Baghdādī. This lesson will be taught by our brother; Abul Hasan ‘Alī (may Allāh preserve him) Date & time TBC. This book is an important book. It covers the etiquettes of seeking knowledge and the purpose behind seeking knowledge being to be able to carry out righteous actions as righteous actions are only attain with knowledge. The author, Khatīb Al-Baghdādī rahimahullāh has other beneficial works in this topic which are highly recommended by the people of knowledge. In addition to this, we will be starting a new book next Saturday evening in shā Allāh. Book: The conditions of the prayer by Ash-Shaykh Muhammad bin ‘Abdilwahhāb rahimahullāh.

Etiquettes before knowledge ⏺️ Al-Imām Ibn Al-Jawzī rahimahullāh said: “It is as if etiquettes are a third of knowledge”. (Sifatus Safwah, 4/145). ⏺️ Al-Imām Mālik rahimahullāh said: “My mother would prepare my ‘imāmah while I was young before I’d go to the circle of knowledge and she would say: O Mālik take from your shaykh his etiquettes before his knowledge”. (Tartīb Al-Madārik, 1/130). ⏺️ Al-Imām Ibn Al-Mubārak rahimahullāh said: “We are in need of a small amount of etiquettes more than we are in need of a large amount of knowledge”. (Madārij As-Sālikīn, 2/376). ⏺️ Al-Imām Ibn Wahb rahimahullāh said: “That which we learned from Mālik’s etiquettes were more than that which we learned from his knowledge”. Al-Fudayl bin ‘Iyād was asked regarding humility so he said: “It is to surrender and submit to the truth and to accept it from whoever speaks it (the truth)”. {Madārij As-Sālikīn, 2/314} https://t.me/Gardensofknowledge

Imām Mālik rahimahullāh said: “Indeed this knowledge is your flesh and blood and you’ll be asked concerning it on the day of judgement so look at who you take it from” (Al-Kifāyah, 21) https://t.me/Gardensofknowledge

Ash-Shaykh Muqbil bin Hādī Al-Wādi’ī rahimahullāh said: “What is easier than you memorising words; so and so is a hizbī (partisan), so and so is an infiltrator and you repeat them from this sitting to that sitting. Rather, what I want from you is to start with the memorisation of the Qurān and memorising that which you are able to memorise from the ahādīth of Allāh’s messenger ﷺ and likewise the Arabic language. And if you were to busy yourselves with the memorisation of the Qurān and acquiring beneficial knowledge, you wouldn’t find time for this speech”. (Ghāratul Ashritah, 2/41)
