Pantera Capital announced that it has invested a record amount of money in TON. The exact amount of the investment is still not disclosed. Interesting things from the interview with Anatoly Makosov. Anatoly Makosov, the lead developer of the TON Core team supporting the basic TON infrastructure. What did we emphasize? 1. In TON, transaction fees are fixed and depend on the complexity of transactions and, accordingly, can be calculated in advance. This is one of the advantages of TON compared to other blockchains. 2. Many people complain that transactions take a long time (~2 minutes) to go through — this is a bug, since the block generation time is 5 seconds. This can be fixed by penalizing validators with lagging hardware and optimizing blockchain code. 3. It will be a discovery for many, but TON is not the fastest in terms of loading a single transaction, but the leader in the number of transactions per unit of time. Record: 42 million transactions in 12 minutes. 4. Payment Network is under development — this is Layer-2 on TON for fast microtransactions, plus they will be cheaper. @ton_insights
