Short Story -Obstacle are Opportunities- In ancient times, a King had a boulder placed on a roadway. He then hid himself and watched to see if anyone would move the boulder out of the way. Some of the king’s wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked around it. Many people blamed the King for not keeping the roads clear, but none of them did anything about getting the stone out of the way. A peasant then came along carrying a load of vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his burden and tried to push the stone out of the road. After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded. After the peasant went back to pick up his vegetables, he noticed a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the King explaining that the gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the roadway. Moral of the story: Every obstacle we come across in life gives us an opportunity to improve our condition, and while the lazy complain, the optimists create opportunities through their willingness to get things done. Short Story -Be deaf to negativity- A group of frogs was traveling through the woods. Suddenly two of them fell into a deep pit. When the other frogs crowded around the pit and saw how deep it was, they told the two frogs that there was no hope left for them. However, the two frogs decided to ignore what the others were saying and they proceeded to try and jump out of the pit. Despite their efforts, the group of frogs at the top of the pit were still saying that they should just give up. That they would never make it out. Eventually, one of the frogs took heed to what the others were saying and he gave up, falling down to his death. The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Again, the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop taking the pain and just die. He jumped even harder and finally made it out. When he got out, the other frogs said, “Did you not hear us?” The frog still not aware what they shouted explained to them that he was deaf but he wanted to thank all for encouraging him the entire time. He had no clue that they discouraged him. Moral of the story: People’s words can have a big effect on other’s lives. Think about what you say before it comes out of your mouth. It might make the difference between life and death. Also be deaf to criticism and discouragement. Read 📚 and record 🎙

Short Story -Four Wives- Once upon a time, there lived a king who had four wives. One day the king got seriously ill and was on his death bed. Afraid to go to the afterlife alone, he called his fourth wife whom he loved the most and took great care of her. He often bought diamond, gold and fine clothing for her. He asked her if she would die with him and go with him to the afterlife. The fourth wife replied immediately that she couldn't and walked away. The king felt extremely bad. He loved his third wife too and was very proud of her and showed her off to others proudly. He called on his third wife and asked the same question. The third wife replied that she loved her life too much and she would not go with him. She then further said that she would remarry after his death. The king was shocked. The second wife had always been there for him at the time of his need. So he asked her the same question. The second wife replied that she would not be able to help him this time but would arrange his funeral. The king was heartbroken. Suddenly a voice called out and said, "I will leave with you and follow you wherever you go, even if it is to the afterlife". The king looked and it was his first wife and this was the wife he took the least care of, He felt embarrassed and said that he should have taken better care of her and given her more attention when he was fine. The moral of this story is that we all have four wives. Our fourth wife is our body. We decorate it with nice clothes, latest hairstyle, nice jewellery and take good care of it but in the end, it cannot follow us to the afterlife. Our third wife is our possession, wealth and money. We spend so much time gathering our possession like house, luxury car etc. and love to show them off but in the end, they can't follow us to the afterlife. Our possession goes to others after our death just like the third wife who intended to remarry after the king's death. The second wife is our friends and family. We trust them as they're always there for us in times of need but the farthest they can go is to our funeral and then after our last rites, they return home. Our first wife represents our soul. We usually neglect taking care of our soul. That is the thing that will follow us to the afterlife. Care for your body, keep it healthy. Enjoy your possessions and the comfort they provide. Cherish your friends and family for the love that they provide but don't forget to take care of your soul. Nourish your soul. Spend some quality time with yourself. Spend some quality time alone. Take out time to pray, take time to meditate because our soul is the source of our life and our most faithful friend, our first wife.💕 Read 📚 and record 🎙

Short story -Knowledge without opportunity is useless - One day, a camel and her baby were chatting. The baby asked, “Mother, why do we have humps?” The mother replied, “Our humps are for storing water so that we can survive in the desert”. Oh”, said the child, “and why do we have rounded feet mother?” “Because they are meant to help us walk comfortably in the desert. These legs help us move around in the sand.” Alright. But why are our eyelashes so long?” “To protect our eyes from the desert dust and sand. They are the protective covers for the eyes”, replied the mother camel. The baby camel thought for a while and said, “So we have humps to store water for desert journeys, rounded hooves to keep us comfortable when we walk in the desert sand, and long eyelashes to protect us from sand and dust during a desert storm. Then what are we doing in a zoo?” The mother was dumbfounded. Moral Your strengths, skills, and knowledge are useless if you are not in the right place. Read 📚 and record 🎙

Short story -Only For Love- Two donkeys were friends. One day they met at a crossroad. One donkey was healthy and happy. The other was malnourished. The healthy donkey asked the weak one, "What has happened to you? Why do you seem so weak?" The weak donkey replied, "My master makes me work the whole day and doesn't give me enough food to eat. He often beats me black and blue." "Oh", exclaimed the healthy donkey. "Then why don't you run away from your master's house", he asked the poor donkey who in turn replied, "I think I have better prospects. My master beats his only daughter too and whenever he does so, he says to her, I'll marry you off to this donkey." "For this reason I'm not running away. Read 📚 and record 🎙

Short story -Fear Of God- Once there were two brothers who were very naughty. They were always up to some mischief and were blamed for every thing that went wrong or missing. One day, their mother asked a priest to talk to her sons and put the fear of god in them so that they would mend their ways. The priest asked her to send her sons to him one by one.  Firstly, the younger brother went to the priest and sat by his side. The priest wanted to make the session interesting and interactive. He asked the younger brother , "Where is God?" He wanted the brothers to understand that God is everywhere and sees all their mischief. The boy didn't react at first as he always did. .  The priest then asked again, " Where is god?" The frightened boy ran to his elder brother and said, "Do you know God is missing and everybody thinks that we are responsible for this!" Read 📚 and record 🎙

Short story -England Or London- Robert a foolish boy got a job in a landlord's house. Once, a landlord's friend came to his house. The landlord called Robert and asked him to bring his binoculars.  Robert quickly went to the landlord's room and brought the binoculars. After the friend left, the landlord called Robert and scolded him . He said, "You should have asked me which binoculars to bring; the one from England or the one from London. It would have  signified how rich I am".  Robert nodded his head and agreed to do so in future. Few days later, another friend of the landlord came to his house. The friend saw a lion's skin and asked the landlord who had killed it. The landlord said that it was killed by his father who was very courageous and was known to Queen Victoria too..  The landlord then called Robert and asked him to bring his father's photograph to show how well known his family was to the royal family of England. Promptly Robert asked, "Which father's album sir- one from England or one from London? Read 📚 and record 🎙

A married couple had a tradition to attend the state fair every year. And every year, the man said he wanted to take a ride in the airplane. But his wife would always reply, "I understand, but that ride costs $50 and $50 is $50." On one occasion, the man, now at the age of 85, turned to his wife and said, Honey, considering my age, this might be my last opportunity to experience that airplane ride.  She said, "the cost remains $50 and $50 is $50."  This time, the pilot overheard them and offered a deal. He proposed taking both on a ride without charge, on the condition that they remained silent throughout the ride. However, if they uttered a single word, the $50 fee would apply. They agreed to the terms, and they ascended into the sky. The pilot executed a series of daring manoeuvers, attempting to get a response from them. Despite the twists, rolls, and dives, they remained silent. Upon landing, the pilot expressed his amazement, said, "I tried everything to make you speak, but you stayed quiet." The man responded, "I was about to speak when my wife during your daring dive had a heart attack and collapsed but .... $50 is $50!" Read 📚 and record 🎙
