Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 To excel in school, it’s not enough to simply attend classes; you must also put in the effort to study. The same principle applies to your Christian life. Beyond just going to church services and Bible study classes, it’s important you have your personal study time. Don’t just read your Bible; study it thoroughly. Jesus Himself encouraged us to “search the Scriptures” (John 5:39). As you engage in this study, the Holy Spirit will grant you understanding, and your faith in God’s Word will deepen and grow. So, make it a habit to study your Bible diligently, and watch your faith in the Word flourish. Rhapsody Of Realities TeeVo Pastor Chris Monday, July 15th 2024 USE PROPHECY AS A WEAPON (Release Prophetic Utterances Of Power From Your Mouth) TO THE BIBLE 1 Timothy 1:18 “This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare.” LET’S TALK The Bible says, “...Though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh” (2 Corinthians 10:3). In other words, though we live in the human body, our war isn’t according to the flesh. Then the fourth verse tells us about the weapons of our warfare: “...The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.” These weapons aren’t manmade or invented by human understanding; rather, they operate through God to the pulling down of strongholds. It doesn’t matter what kind of strongholds they are, whether they be intellectual strongholds, mental strongholds, educational strongholds, family strongholds, medical strongholds, or financial strongholds! We have weapons to dislodge these evil strongholds and render them ineffective and useless. Hallelujah! The Holy Spirit, through the Apostle Paul, tells us about one of these effectual weapons of our warfare in our opening scripture—prophecy! Use prophecies as a weapon as you wage spiritual warfare by faith. God’s Word about you is prophecy. Therefore, always speak forth His Word. The Word of God from your lips is the sword of the Spirit (the “rhema” of God). This is an inspired utterance of the Word of God from your mouth. It’s a prophetic word. With it, you chart your course in life from glory to glory. You can reframe and replan your life. You can override the sequence of unpalatable events in your life or circumstances. What has God said about you? What has He said about lost souls? What has He said about your situation? Use those words to make war and cause His will to be established in your life, in your nation, and in the lives of young men and women like yourself, all around the world. GO DEEPER 1 Corinthians 14:3-5; 1 Corinthians 14:39 NLT SPEAK I declare that righteousness is established in the hearts of people around the world, and through the truth of the Gospel, salvation, healing and health, prosperity and success, deliverance, wholeness, preservation, peace and joy spread in the nations of the earth, in Jesus’ Name. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL MONDAY, JULY 15 2024 YOU’RE GOD’S FAVOURITE For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation (Psalm 149:4). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME The psalmist in the opening verse uncovers a profound truth that transcends mere religious rhetoric. It's a revelation that speaks at the very heart of our relationship with God. Observe that it doesn’t say "For the LORD taketh pleasure in the beauties of heaven or His holy angels," no! It says, "For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people..." (Psalm 149:4). It means God delights in you. He likes you! Pause for a moment and ponder those words. This isn’t merely about God loving us, even though that truth is monumental in itself. This is something more personal, more intimate— God delights in YOU. Someone might think, "Pastor Chris, how can He take pleasure in me? I smoked last night; I told a lie last week.” Irrespective of what you’ve done, the Bible tells us that the Lord takes pleasure in His people, and that includes you! Now that you know how much He loves and delights in you, live right and do the things that please Him. That’s why He gave you His nature of righteousness so that without struggle you can live a righteous life. Every so often, contemplate the depth of God's favourable disposition towards you; think deeply on it. It’ll change your outlook on life. You’ll see yourself differently. Every aspect of your life—your work, relationships, aspirations—will take on a new meaning. Now, if God likes you, it must mean He cares about where you are, what you do, where you live and work, who your friends are—everything about you! Can you see why He tells you in Matthew 6:25 NIV, “…do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear....” He doesn’t want you agitated about anything because you’re His beloved and He knows how to take care of His own. Instead of having anxiety about anything, He says, “Cast them on me because I care for you” (1 Peter 5:7). See how much He takes pleasure in you—His favourite. PRAYER Dear Father, thank you for your gracious and loving disposition towards me. Thank you for making me your favourite; I am divinely favoured everywhere I go because you’ve beautified my life with your grace and embraced me with your loving-kindness. I thank you, Lord, for your personal love for me, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
